Build Your Empire University Review: BYEU Scam or Pyramid Scheme?

Today we will be reviewing a program known as Build Your Empire University. Is Build Your Empire University legit? Find out in this Build Your Empire University review.

The epidemic is still going strong, and with new varieties emerging, it appears like we’ll be in for an unpleasant awakening once the new year begins. If the infection rate does not slow down, a new lockdown will most likely be enacted.

It appears that we must begin to face the fact that we will be living with the virus for the rest of our lives. Another lockdown will result in many individuals losing their employment when businesses and companies close their doors once more.

Because not everyone is fortunate enough to maintain being employed, you should consider yourself very fortunate if you do. Even yet, with the growing expenses of essential goods, budgeting a wage that doesn’t even increase becomes difficult.

With this in mind, many people have turned to side hustles as a way to boost their monthly income. Online companies and freelancing jobs are examples of side hustles that are trending these days.

What brought you here is the prospect of making some money on the side. Luckily for you, I did my research, so I’ll be able to tell you whether this program can help you find your way to financial freedom.

Before you decide to commit to this program, you should read this Build Your Empire University review first. You should check if it is worth your time before you pay for it.

  • Type: Online Course/Masterclass
  • Niche: Marketing (Social Media), MLM
  • Owner: Enagic

What is Build Your Empire University?

Build Your Empire University Review - Build Your Empire University logo

Build Your Empire University is a training program. It is designed in order to promote Enagic, an MLM company that sells water filtration machines.

The training program focuses on “attraction marketing” which is used on social media. This type of marketing includes creating a captivating online presence, where people will feel more obliged to communicate with you in order to learn more.

Basically, you are going to be advertising an opportunity where you are required to promote the “be your own boss” movement. Like in typical MLMs, you get commissions from sales made by people you successfully recruit to the company.

The course aims to teach you how “attraction marketing” works, as well as how you can scale your commission-based side hustle through the use of paid ads.

Enagic Recapped

If you are thinking about joining Enagic, then I suggest that you put the thought on hold for now. You will be working for an MLM, meaning that you are going to work a job where you do not get a salary. All your earnings are based on commissions.

To be honest, I wouldn’t be surprised if Enagic brands itself as a direct selling company and not an MLM. Even they deny the fact that MLMs are closely related to pyramid schemes.

Take note that being a distributor for Enagic does not mean that you are an employee for the company. That’s right, that means that you do not get any benefits. And your job entails having to recruit and convince people that being part of Enagic is a good idea.

The whole training revolves around making the world think that Enagic is a good opportunity to get into if you want to achieve that coveted financial freedom.

Surprisingly, BYEU is not the only program designed to training people about making money in Enagic. I am not quite sure why selling water filtration systems requires an extensive training program.

Is Enagic a Pyramid Scheme?

Build Your Empire University Review - Enagic logo

Enagic definitely looks like a pyramid scheme, considering how MLMs operate the same way as they do, with the exception that MLMs have actual products to sell.

Well, Enagic sells water machines, as well as turmeric supplements. This is what saves them from getting the pyramid scheme label.

However, I insist on calling MLMs as pyramid schemes in disguise, because that is exactly what they are. In fact, MLMs reward their members for the number of new people they bring in, not for the amount of products they sell.

Other than that, Enagic’s main product, which are the water machines, are very expensive and way too overpriced. It would be pretty hard to convince people to buy them, so what most members do is recruit other people who could sell it so they earn commissions.

99% of people who get into MLMs lose money. That is an absolute fact.

If you want to be successful in an MLM, the only to do so is to recruit a lot of people. In the end, you will be putting the financial burden on them, as they will be losing money in the process.

How Does Build Your Empire University Work?

In this section of the Build Your Empire University review, I will be telling you how the program works.

To join BYEU, you have the follow these steps:

  1. Sign up for the $1 trial for all access
  2. Watching training videos and read through the modules
  3. Contact a coach for a free consultation to finalize your sign-up process

Once your one-week trial is over, you will be charged $99 monthly. If you do not want to get automatically charged, then I suggest cancelling your membership before then if you only want the trial in the first place.

Included in BYEU are the following:

  • Mindset training (more of brainwashing sessions to get you completely into the MLM mindset)
  • The training program, which consists of around 100 videos, which claims that it can teach you how to use social media to successfully recruit new members and sell products
  • Access to a private Facebook group
  • Weekly live calls you can participate in

Well, the only good thing about BYEU is that you can learn some pretty important knowledge in terms of marketing and branding through the use of social media. You will also learn how to run effective ads on social media.

Honestly, BYEU would have been a fairly decent course for marketing and branding, but of course, it is designed for Enagic. So expect the trainings to be centered around brainwashing people into joining the company.

Enagic Products

Build Your Empire University Review - Enagic water machine

Let’s take a look on the products you will be promoting.

Enagic sells water ionizer machines, as well as Ukon (turmeric) supplements.

To be honest, there is nothing to be hyped about those water machines. They do not really purify your water, as all they do is remove chlorine from it.

However, distributors usually hype up the “health benefits” you can get from water that has been filtered by these machines. As you can already tell, those claims are pretty bogus:

  • Cure diabetes and cancer
  • Boost the body’s immune system
  • Slow down the aging process
  • Boost metabolism

I am pretty sure that it is illegal to claim that a product can cure incurable diseases such as cancer, but Enagic seems to like throwing these claims left and right.

Of course, you should believe these claims easily, as they are not really backed by science. In fact, I am more than certified that qualified scientists and doctors will laugh at these.

Pricing

Like I said previously, you can avail of a one-week trial by paying $1. Once that is over, the program costs $99 every month.

Unexpectedly though, there are other costs you need to take account for. For one, you are required to purchase a water machine which costs at least $1,990, as well as pay for other monthly costs.

  • Email autoresponder ($15/month)
  • Funnel builders ($25-97/month)
  • Tracking software ($25+/month)
  • Ad costs ($200+/month)

Basically, you are looking at around $500 in expenditure, and that does not even assure that you can make money. Also, if you want to be recognized so badly by ranking up in the MLM, you need to be able to sell 10 water machines in one month.

You would need to spend more than $5,000 every year just to promote the MLM. That does not even count all the effort you need to put into it. Sounds ridiculous, right?

Can You Make Money With Build Your Empire University?

It is possible to make money with BYEU, but it is highly unlikely that you will see any profit from joining Enagic. If you are charismatic, has disposable income to invest in it, and know how to brainwash people, then there is a possibility to make some good money on the MLM.

However, it simply isn’t that simple. The training program is basically a “fake it until you make it” kind of program, which teaches you that you have to fake your lifestyle for social media so that people would be willing to trust you.

You can also tell them to “be their own boss”, even though you aren’t even making money yet. In fact, this is encouraged.

I am not so sure about why people would be interested in selling water machines that claim a lot of bogus health benefits. In fact, one of your main tasks involve inspiring people into taking loans just so they can start this financial opportunity.

It’s also quite weird how BYEU’s promotional videos do not really give you a hint whatsoever that it is a program that involves having to join an MLM.

By the way, you will be penalized by earning less from indirect sales (basically people who belong in your downline that were able to sell the machines) after six months if you are not able to make sales on your own own.

Pros and Cons of Build Your Empire University

Pros

  • If you are charismatic and believable enough, then there is money to be made here. You can easily convince unsuspecting people into joining an MLM by feeding them false stories about how successful you are, even if you haven’t even made any money yet.
  • If you already have a following, you can easily manipulate those people into thinking that your current lifestyle stems from selling these water machines.

Cons

  • The water machines are overpriced, and do not even do much. You are basically overhyping a product that is quite useless in order to get people to buy it.
  • You will be encouraged to lie to people in order to get recruits and sales. If you have strong morals, then this is definitely not the right business for you.

Alternatives to Build Your Empire University

Build Your Empire University is centered around pushing people into the Enagic MLM company, which is simply ridiculous.

Along with that, they also require quite a lot of monthly payments. From subscriptions to ad costs, you are looking at thousands of dollars in expenditures, with no guarantee of return.

I have reviewed numerous programs like these before, and honestly, all of them seem to teach the same thing regarding marketing and branding. This means that it doesn’t really matter what program you decide to sign up in.

Some alternatives you may look into include Healthy Commissions, PublishingLife.com, and Passive Profit Pages. All of those are programs which can teach you how to make money online.

Final Verdict – Build Your Empire University

Before I end this Build Your Empire University review, I would like to share a few more insights that could help you.

This program is designed in a way so that you can deceive people into thinking that you are living a good life. It is actually one of their core values; to show other people that you are doing well for yourself by becoming your own boss.

I cannot even stress just how bad Enagic is. Being a company that claims several bogus and ridiculous health benefits is already bad, but they decided to design a whole program dedicated just to get people to sell their products.

This sounds like a desperate move, if you ask me. After all, I wouldn’t be surprised if they are that desperate. Their water machines are overpriced and useless, so no one wants them.

I am quite surprised because they manage to get influencers to join them, which just begs the question that people can easily be manipulated and deceived.

It’s ridiculous just how much a company that sells water machines was able to find its way to social media, just because they brainwash people into thinking that they need these products.

This is definitely not a side hustle I can recommend. I have a way better opportunity on the next section, so I suggest you continue reading.
