I have seen my fair share of real estate investing-related training programs. You would be surprised by how many there are available on the internet. But that doesn’t stop me from reviewing as many as I possibly can.
There are a handful of different training programs for whatever real estate niche that’s out there right now. But most of what I have seen are focused towards either house flipping or wholesale real estate. I guess those two are deemed to be the easiest to get into.
But with so many training programs out there, how can you really know which ones are actually good? They are pretty much using the same information as the rest of them. I don’t think there’s anything related to real estate that other programs haven’t already talked about. I guess the difference, really, is in the execution of it.
The training programs that I have reviewed have mostly varied in their approach to the topic. All of them are created by different people who have founded success in real estate. So the information that they will give out are filtered through their own point of view. Everybody has different ways of parsing information. And that’s what you’ll likely see from this programs.
So what makes Cris Chico and his FlipAnywhere Academy different from the other real estate training programs? Does his methods actually work?

Who Is Cris Chico?
There isn’t a lot of information that you could find about Cris Chico online. Sure, there are interviews of him out there online. But not a lot of them involve Cris talking about his life growing up.
In an interview that he did for the Talk Action with Lo podcast, Cris mentions that his struggled a bit with their finances growing up. His family moved from Puerto Rico to the continental United States when he was in 3rd grade. He saw how much his parents worked hard despite their circumstances. So he decided to take up a degree in accounting in college.
Once he graduated, he worked an accounting job for a few months. But he realized that it wasn’t really what he wanted to do. So he then became a realtor. He didn’t really have any money to spend on purchasing properties. But he tried his hardest to find people who are thinking of selling their properties.
Pretty much after that, Cris Chico became a real estate investor. He was able to grow his business within a few years. A chunk of his profits just go back into his business. The job for a real estate investor doesn’t really stop after you make your sale.
But at some point, Cris had an idea of creating his own real estate investment training program that’s focus on virtual wholesaling. And that was when the FlipAnywhere Academy was born.

What Is FlipAnywhere Academy?
Cris Chico created the FlipAnywhere Academy as a means to teach people the basics of virtual wholesaling. If you’re somebody who is unfamiliar with real estate terms, allow me to explain.
Wholesale real estate is a method wherein an investor purchases a property with the goal of selling it for a certain price within a specified timeframe. Sometimes, homeowner doesn’t want to go through the usual process of selling a home. Especially if they are looking to sell it as quickly as possible. That’s where a real estate investor comes in. They purchase the property by giving the homeowner a deposit for it. The investor and the homeowner then write out a contract.
It’s the real estate investors job to find somebody who is willing to buy the property off them. The goal is often to sell the property for more than what they agreed to in the contract Whatever difference between the asking price and the selling price is how much the real estate investor earns.
Compared to house flipping, wholesale real estate does not require a real estate license for you to start. Though, there might be certain places where it is required. You’re basically just passing along a contract to somebody who wants it. You don’t need to actually renovate the property. The person who holds the contract by the end of the sale is the one who will be doing that.
What Are You Going To Learn From FlipAnywhere Academy?
Now that I have explained what wholesale real estate is, we’re now going to talk about virtual wholesaling. It’s pretty much just wholesale real estate but done virtually. That’s it for this section, I guess.
Apparently, Cris Chico was the one who thought of virtual wholesaling. At least, that’s what he says on his official bio. Though, any could have thought of it. Nothing about it seems particularly novel.
Still, that is what the FlipAnywhere Academy is focused on. It’s a training program that will show you how to find potential sellers and buyers without having to go to the property. Everything happens online. You don’t even need to be somebody who lives in a nearby area. All it takes are social skills and a good internet connection.
As with similar training programs, they don’t mention how much the FlipAnywhere Academy program costs. You need to input your details in a funnel page in order to access a separate page where you can purchase access to the actual program. But from what I have heard, it costs about $997. It’s a similar price to the other training programs I’ve reviewed.
A chunk of the course is dedicated to what’s called a sales funnel. Since it is virtual, most of the tools that you’re going to use are online. You’ll be going to need to handle ads on YouTube and Facebook as well as a website. Then there are sales funnel pages for the product and/or service that you’re providing. You have to persaud your leads to partake in your services.

Final Verdict – Cris Chico Review
Cris Chico’s FlipAnywhere Academy is a fairly decent training program, for the most part. But it’s not really something that I would recommend to you. It’s definitely not something that a lot of people could afford. But there are a lot of free resources out there that could help you with regards to the basics of real estate.
I don’t highly recommend real estate investing in general. There’s just a lot of innate risks in this particular field. And while you are able to earn money from selling properties, you’re facing a lot of competition. Some of them could even be using the same tactics they have learned from those training programs.
You’re spending a lot of time, money and energy into real estate investing. It’s not guaranteed that you will always get success. Especially when the market is volatile. There is a lot of decisions to be made. And so many fires to put out, both literally and figuratively.
I don’t think that real estate investing is for everybody. Even if you could learn as much as you can through whatever free resources are out there, you would still need to shell out a ton of money to purchase a property. Then there’s the added cost of renovating it. And even if you manage to not overspend in the renovation, it’s not guaranteed that you’re going to immediately find a buyer for it. It’s a waiting game. And I don’t think a lot of people are that patient. Especially if a lot of money is on the line.
