Date With Destiny Review – Tony Robbins Scam?

Today, we are going to talk about Date With Destiny. Is it legit? Find out more in this review.

There are a lot of motivational speakers and life coaches out there. But very few get their own Netflix special. You probably need to be incredibly famous in order to get somebody to make a entire documentary about you. It’s not often that an ordinary life coach would have that kind of experience in their lives. Sure, you can record your own videos. But it takes a lot of time and money to do that.

I was fairly aware of the name Tony Robbins before. But I never really knew him all that well. I have heard of his name in passing before. Though there was never any reason for me to watch any videos about him. Nothing about what he does really interests me.

I don’t really see the hype when it comes to motivational speakers. So writing this review is going to be clouded a bit by that. But I understand why people pay a lot of money to hear them talk. They seem to be the conduit that a lot of people need in order to push themselves to be better. And if it works for them, then good on them. But there’s nothing really compelling about them for me personally.

Still, there a lot of people who want to learn more about the events that Tony Robbins holds regularly, including Date With Destiny. Perhaps, they’re curious about what those kinds of events entail.

Date With Destiny Review: Quick Details

  • Name: Date With Destiny
  • Founder: Tony Robbins
  • Website: https://www.tonyrobbins.com/
  • Socials: Instagram, YouTube
  • Type: Training program
  • Niche: Motivational speaking
  • Recommendation: I don’t particularly recommend this program because of its cost. Tony Robbins already sells a ton of books and he has also authored multiple books. There doesn’t seem to be any compelling reason to put a lot of your money into this program.

Who Is Tony Robbins?

It feels like everybody knows who Tony Robbins is. But perhaps there are still people out there who don’t know who he is.

Tony grew up in California in the late 1960s. By the age of seven, his parents filed for divorce. It seems that his mother gained custody of him and his siblings. His mother remarried several times. At some point, his step-dad at the time decided to legally adopt him. That’s why Tony Robbins goes by Tony Robbins.

Unfortunately, his home life wasn’t doing great so he decided to leave his home at the age of 17. Tony wasn’t able to study in college. He took up a job as a janitor for some random establishment. At some point during that whole period, he decided to ask the landlord how he was able to become successful. And that person attributed it to a seminar by author Jim Rohn.

So it seems that Tony became interested in what Jim Rohn did. He basically started promoting those seminars. Eventually, he started to do seminars himself. At some point, he apparently learned how to firewalk and used that in his seminars.

There isn’t really much else to his career at that point. It just grew exponentially. He was earning a decent amount of money. So much so that he was able to start his own foundation. He started to get a lot of attention for his seminars. And that lead him to get his own show on television. There was also a documentary about him that was released on Netflix in 2016.

My Favorite Program

What Is Date With Destiny?

It’s hard to explain exactly what you’re getting into when you buy a ticket to Date With Destiny. When you buy a ticket, you’re basically going to spend almost an entire week with Tony Robbins and the rest of the participants inside a huge auditorium. The entire program takes up six days. And you’re basically going to listen to Tony Robbins hash it out with a handful of the participants. It feels like a class in a way. Even if you’re not the person that Tony chooses to ask, you can still get something out of what’s being said.

Date With Destiny now employs a hybrid event. There are still people who go to an actual venue. But there are also participants who are part of the audience virtually. I’m not exactly sure if pricing for either the in-person and virtual experience differs. You have to schedule a call with them in order to find out about pricing. But I am assuming that the program is not cheap.

The breakdown for the six-day program goes as follows. The first day is preparation day. Tony Robbins is going to give an overview of what the rest of the program is going to be like. Even if it’s just the introduce, I’m assuming the seminar on the first day is still going to take up a few hours.

The second day is evaluation day. The name is pretty much self-explanatory. Tony will help you go over the influences in your life and what drives. Remember: you’re still pretty much going to talk to a large group of people. So far it doesn’t really seem like you’re going to do a lot in the program except talk and write. Some of the other reviews have mentioned that some parts last up until midnight. There’s probably breaks in between the session. But your day is going to be long.

The Next Few Days

Nothing about the structure of the entire Date With Destiny seems compelling to me. The third day in the program is for discovery. In this session, you’re going to go over the things that influence your decisions. Whether it be beliefs, values or rules, it seems that you can use that to steer yourself in the direction you want for your life.

The fourth day is goal setting and relationship day. In this session, you’re basically going to map out a vision for the next three years of your life. Aside from that, you’re going to learn how you can deepen your relationships with others.

The fifth day is transformation day. It’s a workshop that’s focused on choosing what your “destiny” is going to be that’s in line with the beliefs, values and rules you’ve learn from the third day. The sixth day is integration day. It’s the end of the program. You’re basically being amped up to actually pursue whatever goals you have decided within the past week. At this point in the program, you probably know exactly what you want to do with your life for the next three years or so. Considering that Date With Destiny happens during a week in December, you’re basically going into the new year with an renewed confidence that you’re life might be going places in the next few months.

We’re down to the final stretch of the review. But first, why not check out this recommendation?

Final Verdict – Date With Destiny Review

I think I have managed to give you a good idea of what you might be going to get into when you join the program. You’re spending a huge chunk of your time listening to Tony Robbins and the rest of your fellow participants. But is the program actually worth it?

It depends, honestly. If you were already a fan of Tony Robbins’ work, this might be one of the opportunities to learn from him. There are other events being done by Tony and his team every year. Some people are willing to put money into the program. They probably see something in that program that might actually help them get to where they want to go in life. But not everyone has the time and money to do it. You’re probably better off buying his books or watching some of excerpts of previous sessions of Date With Destiny online. If you don’t have the money to pay for the program, you shouldn’t shame yourself for not going.

That’s really the main reason why I can’t really recommend the program. It costs a lot of money to be part of the program. Especially if you want to go to the in-person event. You have to book tickets to get to the venue. Then you have to find a hotel near the venue. There’s also food. But maybe they offer refreshments during the sessions. But you’re going to spend money on a retreat where you listen to somebody talk for hours.

Still, there is the virtual experience. But you’re still going to spend a lot of time just listening to other people talk for hours on end.
