What is Dropship Unlocked?
Dropship Unlocked is a course design by Lewis Smith. It aims to teach would-be entrepreneurs about the business model known as dropshipping.
What makes this course unique is that it is only available for those in the UK, and that it promises to teach you how you can launch a successful dropshipping business which offers next day delivery.
I find this approach interesting, as dropshippers often get their products from suppliers overseas, meaning that it could take weeks or months for buyers to get their items.
I myself was not aware that it is possible for a dropshipping business to ship out customers’ orders that fast. This is what makes the course appealing for those who want to try out the business model.
After all, dropshipping is all about building your own unique brand and providing exemplary customer service so buyers would keep purchasing from you.
Dropship Unlocked Cost
One major drawback of this course is that it costs way too much money. Unsurprisingly, Lewis spent a lot of money promoting this using ads, so it could be why he is charging too much.
Judging from how he gets very little attention online, with a YouTube channel with only 1.7k subscribers, I doubt that organic traffic propelled this course to people’s attention.
This course could cost you around £3,000. However, this price does not really guarantee that it is a great course, so I suggest that you think about it a great deal before deciding if you need it or not.
Take note that you will be investing that money as an operational cost before you even start your business. I do not really suggest a course this expensive to a beginner, as you might decide to back out later.
Then that means £3,000 down the drain. Take note that there are other free resources online you can take advantage of. An expensive course does not always mean that it is a good quality one.
Who is Lewis Smith?
Lewis Smith is the guy who designed the course. To be honest, I could not find as much information about him compared to other course makers I researched about. He does not seem to be famous on social media either.
I guess the only way that people are being made aware of him is because of his paid ads. However, he has also been invited to speak in various events like the Nomad Summit. I think this brings him credibility.
Along with that, he has worked with other gurus in the past, including Anton Kraly.

Dropship Unlocked Overview
By purchasing the course, you will be gaining access to content that spans for six weeks. It will be guiding you to the tedious process of setting up your online business and launching it successfully.
What I meant by this is that the course is designed for you to be completed in six weeks. That does not mean that you lose access once six weeks is over. You can always go back and skim through the material.
The course is designed this way so that you have enough time to learn the modules. One week is more than enough time to finish a module, but Lewis suggests that you master the module you are in before moving on to the next one.
What this means is that it does not really matter how much time you take, but make sure that you master it first. This way, you can be more engaged in your learning process.
I do not suggest that you rush through the course just to finish it. That defeats the purpose.
The course is pretty short compared to most courses, and I will be discussing each module briefly. You will also get the following bonus content:

Week One: Planting the Seed
The modules included in this week are all about introducing you to the course and to the business model. It is pretty standard stuff, really.
You will also be introduced to the concept of having the right business mindset. As you can see, this is important for you to grasp on your very first week on your course.
Basically, what you need to learn here are the basic tenets of dropshipping and having the right mindset to prepare you for what lies ahead. Whether it be this course or the business, you are better off being well-prepared.
Week Two: Product & Niche Selection
Now, this is where the course gets technical. After giving you the right mindset, it is now time to talk about the technical side of the business: what you will be selling.
Take this as one of the most important parts of the course, as you are going to be running a business, after all. You need to know what niche you want to get into.
Once you have that selected, it is time to pick which products you think people would want. Look for in-demand products. Study the market.
And of course, a dropshipping business will not really work without suppliers. Learn to pick which supplier you think would be the best for your needs. Research and look for which one to trust.
Week Three: Building Your Store
The modules in here are all about building your online store. You will be learning how to optimize and design your store in a way which could run smoothly on all devices.
A well-optimized and well-designed store is already free marketing in its own right. People love looking at aesthetically pleasing websites, so this means that if your website looks good, they are more likely to shop from you.
You will also be learning about how to market your store through email marketing.
Week Four: Signing Your First Suppliers
Now that your store is all set up, it is time to decide on which suppliers you want to work with you. Sometimes, it takes quite some time to negotiate a good deal, depending on how you play it.
I can assume that you have already prepared a small list of the suppliers you want to sign at this point. Now, you will be learning how to negotiate with them.
Gain their trust, make a compromise, and that’s it. Sounds simple, but you will be getting a lot of practice once you are actually doing it.
Week Five: PPC (Pay-per-Click) Mastery
Here, you will be learning how to determine the success of your business. It will require a lot of technical skills from you, as this involves creating ads, making use of organic traffic, and using services to help you get your brand out there.
Take note that it isn’t really the product that attracts people to a brand; it’s the branding. Make customers feel like they are getting an exclusive experience by shopping from your store. Build your brand using creative ads.
It is quite hard to admit, but we all know some brands do not really deserve that much attention because they peddle mediocre products. However, they know how to market themselves. That is a skill you have to master.
Week Six: Unlock Your Freedom
In this week, you will be learning how to scale your business and automate your website.
Once you got your store up and running, you should monitor your sales numbers. Sales numbers meant that your ad campaigns and marketing strategies are working.
Now, you should be thinking about how to scale up your business. This can be done through optimizing your website through automation; basically, you can be hands-off and let your website do the work for you.
Of course, you want the freedom that comes with being your own boss. The modules will teach you how to hire a good team which will be taking care of the tedious tasks for you.
Does Dropship Unlocked Work?
This section of this Dropship Unlocked review will answer the most important question: Will this course work for you?
This course does not appear to be a rip-off, according to my understanding. After your payment has been completed, you will have access to the modules. Lewis Smith also doesn’t appear to be a con artist.
The techniques that Lewis believes to be working are what you will study in this course. This implies that whether it will work for you or not is a question of personal preference.
It’s also worth mentioning that completing this course will not ensure your success in this industry. Also, just because you’ll be taught techniques doesn’t guarantee you’ll be able to use all of them.
It is always dependent on the niche you intend to enter and the items you intend to offer. What worked for other people may not work for you.
Even if that’s the case, this course is thorough enough to cover a wide range of topics. Your business will be shaped only by your application of the principles.
Dropshipping Explained

You could be thinking that now that you know what this course will teach you, this is the perfect business for you. You won’t have to build a product from start because you’ll just be dropshipping.

Why I Don’t Recommend Dropshipping
This section of the Dropship Unlocked review is dedicated to the reasons why I do not recommend the business model.
Very Little Quality Control
You can’t give the best customer care to your clients if you are not aware of the quality of the products they’ll get.
You are also unaware of your supplier’s manufacturing procedures, so you have no way of knowing if they are exploiting you.
Keep in mind that even if no one else is to blame, your provider may deny any errors on their part. In this scenario, you have no choice but to repay your customers, which is detrimental to your website’s image.
High Financial Risk
Before you could even start, you’d have to pay for a lot of things. Even if your business is totally online, you will need to put money into it at first.
Even if you don’t have to pay for inventory, you’ll have to pay for items like domain hosting, software subscriptions, website widgets, and themes. Before you can even consider putting up an eCommerce business, you must pay for these in advance.
You’ll need to spend a lot of money on ads if you want your brand to be noticed. You can even pay influencers to promote your business on your behalf. The charges vary depending on who you choose to advertise you.
And speaking of ads…
Ads are Expensive
For consumers to identify your brand, you must run advertising. Because millions of people use social media every day, it’s the best location to achieve this. This translates to millions of potential customers.
However, the more people who see your ad, the more it costs. If you want to stay ahead of the competition, you’ll need to run more advertising than they do.
In essence, you’re pitting against the might of money. The one who cannot afford to keep up eventually loses. It’s also more difficult to stay ahead of the competition if you sell in-demand products.
Due to high demand, ad costs grow every year, which is problematic for small businesses.

This course is really thorough, and I’m blown away by the amount of knowledge it gives on the dropshipping business plan. You’ll learn everything you need to start a dropshipping business, including how to set up your store, discover in-demand goods, and design effective ads.

What I like about live coaching is that you know that the course creator actually cares about your success. It is nice to attend these sessions if you have questions to ask and want to clarify some concepts.
What I Dislike in Dropship Unlocked
Expensive Course
This course will cost you more than £3,000, which is quite a bit of money. I wouldn’t advocate purchasing it if you’re still undecided about starting an Amazon company.
You can’t merely pay for a course and then decide later that you don’t need it. It’s a total waste of time and money to do that.
Screening Process Required
Before you can even decide to pay money, you will be screened whether you can qualify for the course or not. To be honest, I am quite surprised about that, because I was not aware at first that there is a process like this here.
Either way, it just means that if you are not qualified, you cannot take the course.

Before I end this Dropship Unlocked Lifestyle review, I would like to share a few more insights that could help you.
