A lot of individuals have managed to find some success level of success when it comes to ecommerce. So many of us buy what we need online. Many retailers have been trying to play catch up with their own ecommerce storefront. Why wouldn’t they? As a business, you try and adapt to where your customer base is.

It’s relatively easy for many of us to try our hand at ecommerce. You wouldn’t really have that much trouble finding resources about it online. Just a single search, and you will be flooded with hundred of results on your screen. So many creators have posted videos or started their own training programs with the goal of helping people start their journey in ecommerce. One such person is Farida Bayoumi.

Prior to writing this review, I hadn’t really heard about Farida all that much. With so many individuals creating an ecommerce-related training program, it’s kind of hard to keep up. But now I have time to check out what she’s offering. Is it any better than the ones that I have reviewed? Well, we’re about to find out.

Who Is Farida Bayoumi?

Farida Bayoumi is an entrepreneur and the creator of the FBA Academy program.

Her journey into ecommerce started around the end of her time in college. She apparently started her own ecommerce brand where she sold sunglasses that she bought off Alibaba. Farida utilized the dropshipping and private label method for that particular business. And it seemed to have worked for her. But it took a lot of her time.

So Farida to put most of her focus into her studies since she was about to graduate around that time. Once she graduated, Farida started a job at a digital marketing agency. But she immediately realized that she didn’t really want to waste her time commuting to and from work. She left that job of hers and decided to go the freelance route.

Farida had a goal that she set for herself. She gave herself a year to make a income online. So she decided to get into selling sunglasses again. She also somehow managed to launch a subsidiary in Egypt since she often went there to visit her loved ones. Aside from doing that, she also hired somebody to manage the business in Egypt when she wasn’t there physically. Farida was able to earn $3,000 a month selling sunglasses from the brands that she had established.

She then decided to expand a little bit and start selling on Amazon. Apparently, Farida had some experience on the platform since she had managed the account of a fashion brand before. Bear in mind that Farida started selling sunglasses around the start of 2020. It took a bit of trial and error when it came to selling on Amazon. She lost a decent amount of money when she started doing advertisements on the platform.

But her success came back once an influencer posted a photo of the sunglasses Farida sold. She was also able to sell all of the stock that she had on her storefront. Then the pandemic happen. It became harder for her to restock the products that she was selling on Amazon. But she was still able to earn an income from her two other sources.

It didn’t seem that Farida’s success stopped there. She was able to build an audience on social media by putting out beauty-related videos. Which then lead her to make a detour towards affiliate marketing. And it kind of naturally lead her to start her own ecommerce training program.

FBA Academy is an online training program where you can learn how to start your own ecommerce business by utilizing something commonly known as Amazon FBA.

The FBA in Amazon FBA refers to Fulfillment by Amazon, a fulfillment service that Amazon created. A fulfillment service is a third-party service that handles the storage, packaging, shipping and returns for products that your business sells through Amazon. There are a lot of other fulfillment services that you can partner with to handle those procedures. But with Amazon’s own fulfillment service, you pretty much get access to the infrastructure that Amazon uses for itself.

That’s kind of why a lot people such as Farida Bayoumi tend to focus on it whenever they create an Amazon-related ecommerce course. You sort of know what you’re getting into when you partner up with a company like Amazon. And letting them handle significant parts of the process such as storage and shipping, you don’t really have to worry about buying your own storage space or finding delivery services.

So What Do You Get Out Of The FBA Academy?

There’s nothing really particular new when it comes to the FBA Academy. It is just your standard ecommerce training program. There are a total of twelve modules that go through every single step of starting your own ecommerce business on Amazon. And like other online training program out there, all of the lessons will be in video form.

The first module that you will go through is an introduction to what you will be getting out of the course. You will learn about how to create your mindset going into the business that you will run. It is interesting to note that they don’t really count the introduction as the first module in the course.

The actual first module is focused on product research. Knowing exactly what type of products you are going to sell is imperative even before you actually establish your business. With this particular module, you will learn how to conduct research into products that are both profitable and in-demand.

The second module ties well into the first module since it is focused on supplier research. Now that you have a product in mind, the next thing that you have to tackle is finding somebody to manufacture and supply those products for you. In this module, you will learn how to find suppliers for your products through platforms like Alibaba.

The next few modules focus on creating a seller account on Amazon, creating a brand that you will use for your products, as well as how to create listings for those products and how to properly use keyword optimization for it. There are a lot of things that you have to consider when it comes to selling your products on a platform like Amazon. You do have to know exactly what type of words you have to include so that your products show up in the top spots of the search results.

The last few modules are focused on optimizing your listing once you’ve started selling on Amazon. It also includes how to use Amazon’s advertisement platform to reach more people on the platform that you wouldn’t have otherwise.

Aside from the actual course, Farida Bayoumi added a couple of bonuses to sweeten the deal. Granted, most of the bonuses that Farida include are mostly guides that will help you become more successful in selling on Amazon.

The cost for the course is a one-time payment worth $297. You will get lifetime access to the course, as most of them do. It does seem that Farida also offers a one-on-one mentorship program for a span of twelve weeks. The cost of the mentorship program is $5,000. But it’s only a first come, first served basis every quarter.

Final Verdict – Farida Bayoumi Review

Nothing about what Farida Bayoumi offers is any different to any of the other ecommerce training programs that I have reviewed in the past. It is pretty much just the same training program but somebody else is the one offering it. But everybody has very different approaches to how they tackle the subject matter. Though, there’s very little about the one that Farida Bayoumi created that is worth recommending.

Ecommerce isn’t really something that I would recommend as something that you should do if you’re only starting out. You are going to spend so much of your resources—time, money, and effort—but there is no guarantee that it will become successful. Even if you follow what Farida Bayoumi teaches to a tee, you’re not going to reach the level of success that she has attained in the years that she’s been doing this.
