Flamingo Paperie Review: Will Selling Greeting Cards Earn You Money?

Today we will be reviewing a company called Flamingo Paperie. Is Flamingo Paperie a scam? Find out in this Flamingo Paperie Review.

If this is your first time ever hearing about Flamingo Paperie, you should not be so surprised. Flamingo Paperie is an MLM, which means that you would not really know they exist unless someone from the company reached out to you. That is just how these companies market themselves.

I am sure that you are wondering how come that person got in touch with you. Well, you are more than likely on each other’s friend list, even if you have not talked to each other before. MLM hunbots see their friend list as a list of potential customers, so they reach out to everyone there in hopes that someone will respond.

To be honest, anyone would be tempted with the opportunity they are presenting to people. I mean, who would not want total control of their own hours, and not having to subject oneself to the whims of a controlling boss? Anyone would definitely jump to an opportunity like that, if there is one.

In this Flamingo Paperie review, I will be discussing how this MLM works, how much you can earn, and what perks you can get. I suggest you grab some popcorn.

Before we go further in this Flamingo Paperie review, I will define two terms first: MLM and pyramid scheme.

MLM members make money by selling products and recruiting new members. In pyramid schemes, members could only make money by recruiting people. Pyramid schemes are illegal and banned by the FTC.

As a disclaimer, I am not affiliated with Flamingo Paperie in any way.

Hopefully this Flamingo Paperie review can help you decide whether you want to sign up for the company or not.

What is Flamingo Paperie?

Flamingo Paperie Review - Flamingo Paperie intro

Flamingo Paperie is a multi-level marketing company that sells greeting cards and stationery. The company was launched in 2018, replacing Phoenix Trading, the first direct selling company that sells greeting cards in Britain.

It seems like many of the members of this MLM are from Phoenix Trading as well. Other than greeting cards, Flamingo Paperie also sells gift wrappings and stationery. It seems like the company only uses vegetable-based inks, meaning that the greeting cards are ethically printed.

They also give quite a lot of credit and appreciation to the artists who design their products. Through the years, Flamingo Paperie has expanded its operations to Australia, France, and New Zealand. The current owners are Robin Bradley, Sheila Shaw, and Stuart Miller.

Bradley was the original founder of Phoenix Trading, Shaw was one of Phoenix’s earliest directors, and Millar was the top trader of Phoenix. Basically, all of them just came from Phoenix Trading.

How Do MLMs Work?

Welcome to the section dedicated to discussing insider information about MLMs in general. Here, we take a break from discussing the MLM in question, Flamingo Paperie, to discuss how MLMs work, why people still fall for them, and how they continue to be profitable.

Is this your first time ever reading a review about an MLM? If it is, I do not suggest skipping this section. Remember that in this review, I am completely on your side, and my goal is to educate you about these companies. My intentions are 100% beneficial to you, so I suggest that you read this section entirely.

Let me reiterate my opinions first regarding MLMs. Well, I think that MLM companies are the worst. Honestly, if you ask me, I recommend that you literally throw your money rather than invest it in an MLM.

You might be thinking that I may be exaggerating and rather extreme with my opinions, but let me tell you now that what I am saying is absolutely well-substantiated by quite a lot of sources. If you want numbers, well, the data never lies. Most people who join MLMs have not made any money, let alone earn back their initial investment.

What’s more, they also tend to lie regarding what the opportunity really is about. They tell you that you will be in total control because you will be starting your own business, when the reality is totally the opposite.

No, you are not your own boss. You are also not in control. You have quite a lot of rules to follow, and it is a lot stricter than working a regular job. At least you get compensated for a regular job.

Is Flamingo Paperie a Pyramid Scheme?

Since Flamingo Paperie members earn money both by selling services and recruiting new members, then it is safe to say that Flamingo Paperie is not a pyramid scheme.

However, since Flamingo Paperie is still an MLM, do not expect to make money if you have no plans on recruiting people. Recruiting will earn you significantly more money than actual product selling, and is more encouraged.

This just makes Flamingo Paperie look like a pyramid scheme in disguise, doesn’t it?

Pyramid scheme vs Multi-level marketing

Like Tocara, Tiens, and Wikaniko, Flamingo Paperie is not a pyramid scheme.

Is Flamingo Paperie a Scam?

No, Flamingo Paperie is not a scam.

However, if you think this is enough for you to jump in Flamingo Paperie’s so-called opportunity straight away, then I suggest that you hold your horses. This is just the most basic thing, so don’t go signing up for this company right away.

Before making your decision, I suggest that you do a thorough research on the MLM first. You can consult some of the sources I listed below. Take note that you can definitely consult any source you want to, but the sources I listed below are the best kinds to consult, for various reasons listed.

What Sources Should You Look For?

There are three kinds of sources that you can consult when it comes to researching MLMs. There are other kinds of sources, but I believe that these three sources will be of the most help to you.

Luckily for you, you found the best source that the internet has to offer. This Flamingo Paperie review is the best source because it is a third-party review, meaning that it is impartial and has no biases towards the company. Other reviews in this website are also classified as third-party reviews.

Just as what their name states, these types of reviews are published by entities with no connections to MLMs. This means that only accurate information is included, with no fear of exposing the lies of said companies being reviewed. Also, each review is thoroughly research and fact-checked.

If you have a rather specific concern that was not tackled in a third-party review, then I suggest that you look at online forums. These forums are often active because they have thousands of members, and it is also quite easy to be a member. I actually found the most active forum by a quick internet search.

Forum members are more than willing to help you out and answer your questions, as they are volunteers who work towards the same goal: exposing the truth behind what happens in an MLM and warning people about them.

How to Make Money from Flamingo Paperie

Since Flamingo Paperie is an MLM, there are only two ways to make money with the company. and these are:

  1. Selling products
  2. Recruiting members

Making money in Flamingo Paperie is easier said than done. Even though they state that you can make money using two rather basic ways, being able to do both ways is a lot harder than what they let you know.

For one, selling products is not that easy if you do not know your target market. Sure, you can sell products to friends and family, but if they are not interested, you cannot just force them to buy right?

As for the other method, not everyone who takes an interest in an MLM wants to be a member. Most of them are only customers who only want to try something new.

If you want to make a lot of money though, you need to recruit people and have them do the selling part for you. All you need to do is be the person who supplies them with products. The main problem would be finding the people who would want to do that, though.

Remember that the MLM business model is not sustainable, so as time goes by, you will run out of people to recruit.

MLMs do not really care about how many products you sell. What they care about is how many you buy and how many people you can bring in.

How Much Can You Make?

It seems like Flamingo Paperie is just one of the many MLMs out in the market who refuses to publish an income disclosure statement. I guess the reason why they do this is because they know to themselves that they feed their members with lies, and published accurate data will definitely turn them away.

This is no surprise me though, because after reviewing hundreds of MLMs, I realized that this was common practice. No, these companies are not obligated to share this data, but shouldn’t they just do it? It is the right thing to do after all, because they are the ones relying on recruitment at the first place.

This just places them in a bad position, because they are not being transparent to their members. Sure, there are people out there who do not do research, but not all people are like that. People know how to research.

They are not doing themselves any favors here, because now they are being the subject of speculation. We know that most people who join MLMs do not make money, and I am not surprised if Flamingo Paperie is one of those companies who only want to take money from people.

Things I Like in Flamingo Paperie

Charitable Causes

Flamingo Paperie is affiliated with Phoenix International Charity. This charity supports children’s hospices, cancer research hospitals, and other charitable causes.

I guess this is also a good selling point because people are more likely to buy products if they know that doing so will support charity. It feels good that your purchase helped others who are in need.

Things I Dislike in Flamingo Paperie

Limited Market

Well, greeting cards are pretty old-fashioned. To be honest, it is not as widely used anymore compared to before, with the advent of social media and digital cards. Other than that, people are also more attracted to using digital means of communication because it reduces waste.

I guess there is still a market for Flamingo Paperie’s products, but it is not as many as you can expect. People only use greeting cards for special occasions anyway, and it’s not like they celebrate something everyday.

It is an MLM

This is an MLM, so it means that a lot of people definitely failed in this venture. In fact, 99% of people who join MLMs fail to make money, and they do not even earn back their initial investment.

Final Verdict – Flamingo Paperie

Before I end this Flamingo Paperie review, I would like to share a few more insights that could help you.

Well, I think you are pretty upset upon knowing that this company is not really like what you think it is. I mean, I would be upset too if I realize that my a great opportunity has a lot more cons than pros, too. After all, you should have seen this coming anyway, because it is an offer that is way too good to be true.

I cannot blame you though, because MLMs seem to be masters at lying to your face. Not only that, but they are also manipulative. They will tell you to quit your job, follow ridiculously high sales quotas, and even tell you to get your family and friends into the business.

I hope that I was able to convince you not to join this MLM. Please feel free to share your new knowledge to people who may need it.

Just remember that this is not worth your time. Honestly, there are way better opportunities out there, waiting for you. I know of one, and it is just in the section below this one.
