Forever Living MLM Review: Pyramid Scheme or Scam?

Today we will be reviewing a company called Forever Living. Is Forever Living a pyramid scheme or scam?

We will look at the company, its products, and how you can make money with it.

Should you consider investing in it? Find out as you read the review.

As we now depend on online services in our everyday lives, this makes both our actual lives and online lives unsafe. In the actual world, we have to watch for criminals.

In the online world, we have to watch out for smarter criminals.

It seems like everywhere we look, there are scams.

If you check your inbox everyday, chances are someone has sent you a scam email about a Nigerian prince who is willing to give you a share of their fortune if you pay them first.

Of course, most of us have been aware of the common scams by now and just laugh it off.

However, we should not underestimate the abilities of these scammers.

It is quite impressive how elaborate scams have become nowadays.

It is like there is a scam school somewhere where these criminals enroll themselves and learn the intricate art of scamming.

That aside, before you go investing in a company that promises to make you money, it helps to do some research first. Save your time, money, and effort by doing so.

What is Forever Living?

Forever Living is a multi-level marketing company that sells aloe vera and bee-derived products. The company was founded by Rex Maughan in 1978.

The company markets and sells its products through its network of independent sellers that are referred to as Forever Living distributors.

Forever Living MLM Review: Pyramid Scheme or Scam? - Forever Living products

Forever Living sells the following products:

  • nutritional products
  • weight management products
  • health supplements
  • essential oils
  • household products
  • drinks
  • skin care products

The company is currently based in Arizona, United States.

Is Forever Living a Pyramid Scheme?

Since Forever Living members earn money both by selling products and recruiting new members, then it is safe to say that Forever Living is not a pyramid scheme.

However, I advise against joining Forever Living. A business must focus on marketing its products and training its members, not recruiting.

Like other MLM companies, recruiting is heavily emphasized in Forever Living.

This makes them look like a pyramid scheme.

Like Xyngular,Scentsy, and ACN, Forever Living is not a pyramid scheme.

No Income Disclosure Statement

Here we are again with another company that has no income disclosure statement to present.

If you encounter an MLM that you seem interested to invest in and they cannot present to you a clear income disclosure statement, I suggest that you do not go through with investing in it.

That company is probably hiding something, and worse, the members are not making money from it at all.

This is clearly a red flag. Do not involve yourself in bigger problems in the long run and just walk away and look for another opportunity elsewhere.

Is Forever Living a Scam?

No, Forever Living is not a scam. However, you may want to watch this video. This video will reveal some things that the company may be hiding from you.

Like I mentioned above, we have no way to tell if Forever Living members make any money because they do not have a proper income disclosure statement.

However, the company has been here since 2003, we could assume that they made quite a lot of money.

Maybe that is enough proof? You can decide that for yourself.

How to Make Money from Forever Living

There are only two ways to make money with Forever Living.

  1. Selling products. Like other MLMs, you can get products at discounted prices then sell them for retail prices.
  2. Recruiting people. Downline dependency is heavily implied here. You can earn from the sales of people in your downline.

As usual, you will need to buy initial inventory to start selling Forever Living products. Prepare yourself, as these products could be quite expensive.

How to Join Forever Living

I suggest that you watch this video before you join Forever Living. This video discusses tips on getting started and will help you sign up for the company.

To become an Forever Living distributor, click this link.

Here are the steps you need to follow to ensure a smoother application process:

  1. Select your starter pack.
  2. Complete the form by providing your personal information.
  3. Provide your sponsor’s information. If you do not have a sponsor yet, then the website will help you find one and provide the sponsor’s details for you.
  4. Pay for your order.

Forever Living Starter Packs

Forever Living has quite a few starter packs to choose from. These products are classified according to the products that are included with them.

  1. Start Your Journey Combo Pak – $306.38
  2. C9 – $98.28
  3. A Touch of Forever Combo Pak – $406.60
  4. Vital5 – $234.65
  5. F15 – $119.43
  6. Forever Life Ultra – $24.85
  7. A Touch of Forever Mini Combo Pak – $203.30

I am not surprised anymore by how much the products cost.

Most of the time, MLMs advertise these starter packs as over xxx in value but you only have to pay half or less than half of the original price.

However, do not be easily swayed by these deals.

Even if they are advertised to make it look like you will make quite the profit, remember that you still have to shell out money for them first.

If someone tells me that I have to pay $300 to earn $200, I will definitely not take the deal.

Things I Like in Forever Living

Established Company

Forever Living has been there since 1978, which makes them active for 42 years now.

I guess you could classify this company as stable.

However, this does not mean that you will make money in the company. Do not be assured this easily.

Things I Dislike in Forever Living

Overly Saturated Market

Forever Living is another health and wellness company in a pool of millions of other health and wellness companies.

How does it stand out? It does not.

Because of this, people are less likely to buy your products and choose from companies that are more well-known.

It also does not help that other companies sell cheaper products.

Heightened Focus on Recruitment

As much as we want to avoid this issue, recruitment is the bread and butter of all MLMs.

If you have to recruit people more instead of sell more products to make a profit, then maybe you should sign up for a recruitment business instead of an MLM.

You will not see yourself become successful in Forever Living if you do not recruit people into your downline.

This is because you will earn more from commissions from your downline’s sales than your own sales.

Ever wonder why MLMs do not give proper training in sales and marketing?

This is the reason why.

The lingering question is: Is Forever Living a pyramid scheme?

From what we are seeing so far, yes, it does look like one.

Get Broke as an Aloe Vera Connoiseur

If you want to climb the ranks of this company and get benefits, you will need to buy a lot of products.

It does not matter if you are buying the products because people ordered them, no.

You can literally buy your way through the ranks if you are that dedicated.

You also need to keep buying products just to maintain your active status.

With that, I would like to pose this question…

How much aloe vera products can you consume in your lifetime? Not much.

How much money do you need to spend in this company to stay active and climb the ranks? Too much.

Forever Living Compensation Plan

You can view the Forever Living Compensation Plan right here.

I will never understand why these MLMs make such complicated compensation plans when all you need to explain in a compensation plan is how to make money.

I understand the need to go into detail but in general, people hate reading. They will just skim through it.

Maybe their plan is to confuse people so they could get away with not telling them clearly how they can earn.

Anyway, this video can help you understand it further. I will rather watch this than read 67 pages.

Forever Living Ranks

Final Verdict – Forever Living

The market is already full of companies selling health and wellness products.

Forever Living is just one company in that massive pile, and it offers nothing unique.

Even though the company has lasted longer than expected, that does not mean that you can make a stable income with them.

Sure, they are pretty established, but remember that you are literally at the bottom of food chain.

I heavily advise against joining Forever Living even if you have marketing and sales experience.

See, the company insists on recruiting. Who would you recruit first? Definitely your friends and family.

It is a pretty scummy move to force your friends and family members to buy your products.

Why would they when there are a lot of more reputable companies who have physical establishments where they can walk in anytime?

Think about that for a moment. There are a lot of companies selling the same products with cheaper and better products that Young Living.

Other than that, the employees there are well-trained in sales and marketing.

How can you possibly compete against that when Forever Living refuses to properly train you?

Also, if you are ambitious enough and want to climb the ranks, do the math.

How many products do you need to sell to climb a single rank?

Like I already said above, the products are quite difficult to sell.

It may look easy on paper, but in actual, you have to beg people to buy your products.

You know what you should do? Look elsewhere for a better opportunity to make money.

That’s it for today’s review.
