HB Naturals MLM Review: Pyramid Scheme or Scam?

Today we will be reviewing a company called HB Naturals. Is HB Naturals a pyramid scheme or scam? Find out in this HB Naturals MLM review.

You probably have not heard about HB Naturals before until someone you know mentioned it to you.

It’s more than likely that a friend would’ve mentioned this to you because they are a member, and they are either trying to sell you some products or recruiting you. Could be both.

You got lured to it somehow because they probably mentioned these magic words – “you can be your own boss”.

Whenever someone tries to recruit you to an MLM, all you need to do is to ask them how much they make.

Interrupt them whenever they are trying to deflect the question and ask for the numbers.

Most of the time, these people will be defensive and try to make you understand that “hard work pays off”.

We all know that he would not say that if MLMs are really fulfilling their promises.

Before we proceed with this HB Naturals MLM review, let me explain these two terms first: MLM and pyramid scheme.

Pyramid schemes are downright illegal.

MLMs operate the same way as pyramid schemes, as they emphasize recruiting more than selling.

However, MLMs manage to stay legal because they have products to sell.

As a disclaimer, I am not affiliated with HB Naturals.

Hopefully this HB Naturals MLM review can help you decide whether you want to sign up for the company or not.

My #1 Recommendation

What is HB Naturals?

HB Naturals is a multi-level marketing company that sells CBD oil and health supplements.

HB Naturals MLM Review - HB Naturals products

To be honest, most of the MLMs I have heard from are selling the same things.

HB Naturals was founded by Paula Scarcella, Ben Scarcella and Alexandria Brighton in 2018.

The products are all focused in the health niche, unsurprisingly.

Just like a typical MLM, HB Naturals advertises a way to make money through an affiliate program.

However, take note that joining is not free.

You have to pay a fee to be a member and to start selling products.

To learn more about the company and their affiliate program, I suggest watching this video.

The name HB Naturals stands for Heart and Body Naturals.

This is the primary focus of their products – to help the heart and body become healthier.

Owner Overview

HB Naturals is currently based in Kentucky, United States.

The CEO is Paula Scarcella. She is the founder of HB Naturals’ parent company, Green Organics LLC. She is also in charge of another lesser known MLM called goDesana.

Alexanda Brighton is the one responsible for formulating the company’s products. She owns the Brighton Institute of Botanical Studies, and has decades of experience regarding natural remedies.

Their main purpose, at least according to the company’s website, is to be able to keep sharing “synergistic Healing Trilogy products” to people all around the world.

How Do MLMs Work?

Welcome to the section where I give some brief information I learned about how MLMs operate.

In this section, we take a break from the company we are reviewing and just talk about MLMs in general.

Despite how different the products they sell are, MLMs all operate the same way – by employing the direct selling method to make sales.

What makes MLMs unique?

Well, by using the direct selling method, MLMs are a more personal shopping experience.

Unlike the typical online shopping experience where you only have to navigate a website and checkout, MLMs put a more personal touch to how their products are sold.

This means that you could directly consult with one of their members if you are planning to buy a product.

Other than that, the rest is pretty basic.

Also, the company seems to have adapted to the use of social media.

This explains why the hunbots have been decreasing in number these past few years.

Anyway, why do you think MLM members are mostly stay-at-home or single moms?

Well, that’s because MLMs deliberately target the vulnerable.

They know exactly the right words to say so that people would believe their claims and recruit them.

That’s just scummy, don’t you think?

Is HB Naturals a Pyramid Scheme?

Since HB Naturals members earn money both by selling services and recruiting new members, then it is safe to say that HB Naturals is not a pyramid scheme.

However, since the company is still an MLM, it operates the same way as a pyramid scheme does.

This makes HB Naturals look like a pyramid scheme in disguise.

Pyramid scheme vs Multi-level marketing

Like Pruvit, Usana, and Natura, HB Naturals is not a pyramid scheme.

Is HB Naturals a Scam?

No, HB Naturals is not a scam.

However, even if that is the case, you should not let your guard down when it comes to an MLM.

It’s important to do your own research to find more information about a company.

In regards to this, you should look for credible sources, especially those from third-party sources.

Also, to be able to market the products properly, you need to learn more about the products.

This is why looking up reviews and testimonials are important.

Another good piece of information is the testimonials from ex-members.

These testimonials help greatly because they have firsthand experience from working with the company and could help you know if the company really cares for its members or not.

Things I Like in HB Naturals

Registration is Free

I rarely see this in any MLMs I have encountered.

Most MLMs charge quite a high price when it comes to signing up.

That is a major turnoff because not many people can fall for that kind of scheme.

It’s not like the fees these companies charge is a small amount, either.

This is why this company is quite unique.

It allows its members to earn money even though they signed up for no cost.

Things I Dislike in HB Naturals

Expensive Products

This is what makes the products of this company hard to sell.

Not many people are willing to buy products when they are expensive.

This is because most people want to use their money in something they need more, like food and bills.

Not a lot of people have extra money to spare for products this expensive.

False Claims About Products

This is another red flag.

To be honest, this is one of the things I hate most about MLMs.

Not only are their products expensive, they also like to make ridiculous claims about their products.

I am yet to find an MLM that is backed by science and not have any cases of false claims.

Saturated Market

Let’s face the fact that this company is one of thousands that sells CBD oils.

Do you think that’s a good thing.

Not really. Not only do you have a lot of competitors, but this company is also fairly new.

This means that you have to compete with brands that are already established in this niche.

This is another added challenge to the members.

Very Low Income Potential

Not only are the products expensive and have false claims, but it turns out that this is not really as good as a business opportunity as what the company advertises.

You can check the company’s income disclosure statement here.

To be honest, this is barely enough data to work on.

The only valid information I was able to find is that the average income of members is between $500-$2,000 for 2018.

Do you think that is enough money for something that is advertised to be a substitute for a full-time job?

Yeah, I don’t think so either.

In what universe can you survive with that small amount of income?

I doubt you can find one, because it is highly impossible.

Final Verdict – HB Naturals

Before I end this HB Naturals MLM review, I would like to share a few insights first.

This company is fairly new, which means that it isn’t established yet.

This means that this company could fold anytime.

Why is that, you ask?

Well, a lot of MLMs sell CBD oils.

And a lot of those MLMs have already established themselves in this niche.

This means that you cannot get as much customers as expected because people already know what brands to turn to.

Not many people are willing to try something new.

Since HB Naturals products are quite expensive compared to competitors, this means that not as many people are willing to switch to this brand.

Do you think you still want to be a part of this company, despite all those challenges?

I don’t think it’s worth it.

Besides, there are lots of opportunities that are better than this.

That’s it for my HB Naturals MLM review. Hopefully this HB Naturals MLM review helps with your decision.

I do not recommend MLMs. but if you want to make money online, you should check out my #1 recommendation to making money online after reviewing 300+ MLM companies.
