Today we will be reviewing a company called Java Momma. Is Java Momma a scam? Find out in this Java Momma Review.
Do you like coffee? I am sure that most people prefer coffee more than tea, because of various reasons. Instant coffee is cheap and easy to prepare. You can also drink it immediately. There are people who actually cannot function without coffee. Some people view coffee as the main thing that wakes them up and fuels them for another busy day at work.
Coffee shops are also pretty good places to spend your free time in. Coffee is a beverage that comes in many forms and is pretty versatile. It could be enjoyed by people of all ages, which is the main reason why coffee shops exist in the first place. They develop coffee recipes depending on the preferences of their customers.
Turns out that MLMs have also jumped to the bandwagon of selling coffee. You simply cannot go wrong with coffee; there are people who will like it regardless of how it is made. I guess MLMs have realized the profit potential of this industry, which is why they decided to start a business selling coffee.
Before we go further in this Java Momma review, I will define two terms first: MLM and pyramid scheme.
MLM members make money by selling products and recruiting new members. In pyramid schemes, members could only make money by recruiting people. Pyramid schemes are illegal and banned by the FTC.
As a disclaimer, I am not affiliated with Java Momma in any way.
Hopefully this Java Momma review can help you decide whether you want to sign up for the company or not.

What is Java Momma?

Java Momma is a multi-level marketing company that sells a variety of drinks, from coffee, tea, and cocoa products. The company is fairly new to the market, as it was founded on 2017. The founders of Java Momma are Brian and Melissa Shoop.
Java Momma’s members are referred to as “baristas”. So far, they offer their products to only the United States at the moment.
Before the couple founded their own company, Brian used to be a computer analyst, while Melissa was the one involved in various direct selling companies.

How Do MLMs Work?
Now that I told you what you need to know about Java Momma, I figured that I should give you a crash course regarding MLMs. After all, what you know about these types of companies so far are only the textbook definition. I figured that I should give you a better explanation.
I have reviewed hundreds of MLMs, which is why I think I have sufficient knowledge about them now. After noticing similarities between these companies, I figured that I should share what I know about them so that in turn, you can share them with people who need the information.
Why did I say that, you ask? Well, MLMs are pretty relentless when it comes to recruiting. More of pesky, to be honest. I am pretty sure that what brought you to this review today is a hunbot who is pretty pushy and want to sign you up straight away without bothering to properly explain what you are in for.
That is exactly my purpose. I am here to tell you what MLMs are. and why I think it is not worth joining one.
MLMs are like cults. They are masters in manipulation and deception. They know exactly what to say in order to get people to trust them, and take advantage of that trust. Most people who join MLMs come to regret their decision.
Also, majority of people who sign up for MLMs do not make money. They do not even earn back the initial amount they invested. MLMs love proliferating lies about how successful their members are, when in reality, only those at the very top are earning big bucks. Those at the bottom go deep in debt.
This opportunity is simply not worth it. It is sad how people still get fooled.
Is Java Momma a Pyramid Scheme?
Since Java Momma members earn money both by selling services and recruiting new members, then it is safe to say that Java Momma is not a pyramid scheme.
However, since Java Momma is still an MLM, do not expect to make money if you have no plans on recruiting people. Recruiting will earn you significantly more money than actual product selling, and is more encouraged.
This just makes Java Momma look like a pyramid scheme in disguise, doesn’t it?

Like Princess House, NeVetica, and Hungry Bark, Java Momma is not a pyramid scheme.
Is Java Momma a Scam?
No, Java Momma is not a scam.
However, if you think this is enough for you to jump in Java Momma’s so-called opportunity straight away, then I suggest that you hold your horses. This is just the most basic thing, so don’t go signing up for this company right away.
Before making your decision, I suggest that you do a thorough research on the MLM first. You can consult some of the sources I listed below. Take note that you can definitely consult any source you want to, but the sources I listed below are the best kinds to consult, for various reasons listed.
What Sources Should You Look For?
There are three kinds of sources that you can consult when it comes to researching MLMs. There are other kinds of sources, but I believe that these two sources will be of the most help to you.
First off, you found the best source all on your own, which is pretty impressive. This Java Momma review is an example of a third-party review, meaning that it was published by a third-party entity. This means that the review was in no way influenced by the MLM.
Third-party reviews are pretty detailed. They can answer most questions, from the company’s origins, what the products are, and how much you can earn from them. Basically, they are a one-stop shop when it comes to information regarding MLMs.
I do not suggest just looking at one source, though. Third-party reviews may discuss MLMs in an in-depth manner, but sometimes, there are just some questions that they cannot answer.
This is why I recommend looking at online forums. Online forums serve as a good database of information because there are moderators who maintain the credibility of information in the forums. The users also take it upon themselves to update the information whenever they can.
People in these forums have first-hand experience with working with MLMs. Some of them even had high ranks before they left. They sure are an interesting bunch of people who became aware that these companies are pretty scummy. They will be more than happy to help you out.
How to Make Money from Java Momma
Since Java Momma is an MLM, there are only two ways to make money with the company. and these are:
- Selling products
- Recruiting members
To be honest, these methods are a lot harder than they sound. They might seem simple, but trust me, both methods require quite a lot of hard work. I am not joking, but you have to work harder in MLMs than in a regular job.
Selling is pretty straightforward, but in an MLM, it’s kind of different. Once you sign up for one, you are required to buy the products first before you sell them. The only advantage in here is that you get them for discounted prices. You can sell them for retail prices, which will earn your profit. The main challenge with this one is finding customers.
As for the recruiting aspect, this is the main method used by all MLMs. You have to find people who would want to be part of your time. This is good if you are charismatic. However, it is still not easy to find people who are willing to join an MLM. People know how negative the reputation of these companies truly are.
Remember that the MLM business model is not sustainable, so as time goes by, you will run out of people to recruit.
MLMs do not really care about how many products you sell. What they care about is how many you buy and how many people you can bring in.
How Much Can You Make?
It seems like Java Momma has not published a proper income disclosure statement yet. Well, to be fair, they are still quite new to the business. Maybe they plan to release one in the future?
As much as I want to give them the benefit of the doubt, I have already encountered a lot of MLMs with no income disclosure. In fact, most of those I reviewed do not even have one, even though some of them have been in the business for lots of years.
MLMs do not really have the obligation to publish one, but in my opinion, they should. People have the right to know what they are getting into. They deserve some light on the main reason why they joined the MLM on the first place” to earn money.
Why would MLMs hide their income disclosures anyway? Simple. Most people who join them do not make money, and if word of that gets out, people will be discouraged from joining. Their main source of income are the members themselves, so they are doing their best to protect the brand.
The MLM business is centered on trust. Both sides should be able to trust one another. However, Java Momma’s action is more on self-preservation. I think I can assume that this company does not really care that much about their members. All they want is the money.
Things I Like in Java Momma
I tried to find some things to like in Java Momma, but unfortunately, I don’t think I have anything positive to say about them at this time. They are fairly new, so maybe that could change through time. Right now, they just seem like a typical MLM company to me.
Things I Dislike in Java Momma
Saturated Market
I have lost count of how many MLMs I encountered that sell the same products as Java Momma. I mean, sure, they may be different with the variants they sell, but they are all pretty much the same. This company does nothing in particular to stand out, except perhaps being a new company in the market.
It is an MLM
This is an MLM, so it means that a lot of people definitely failed in this venture. In fact, 99% of people who join MLMs fail to make money, and they do not even earn back their initial investment.

Final Verdict – Java Momma
Before I end this Java Momma review, I would like to share a few more insights that could help you.
I hope that this Java Momma review was able to provide the answers to your questions. Now that you have reached the end of this Java Momma review, I will be imparting a few more words of advice to help you in your future career ventures.
I think I reiterated enough just how scummy MLMs are. They aren’t really compassionate to their members. All they care about is how much money these people bring to their company. No matter how hard they work, they don’t really get any compensation if they cannot make any sales. That’s just a sad reality.
Other than that, these people are also the vulnerable ones in society. Ever wondered why MLMs target single parents, fresh graduates, and those looking for a job? It is because they are the most desperate. They just need money to feed their families, but these MLMs take advantage of that.
There are quite a lot of people that they persuaded somehow to quit their stable jobs. That is insane. Imagine building your career since you are in college and just giving all that up to join a company that would not even last very long. That is definitely not worth it.
I know that you may be feeling let down, but I have an opportunity for you below. Trust me, it is a lot better than an MLM.
