JewelScent Review: Is This MLM Worth Joining?

Today we will be reviewing a company called JewelScent. Is JewelScent a scam? Find out in this JewelScent Review.

Have you ever considered quitting your current work in order to pursue a position where you will have complete control?

I’m sure this has occurred to you on several occasions. You believe you are underpaid and underappreciated. You’re tired of feeling like your life is going nowhere.

That is, until someone approached you with a one-of-a-kind offer.

I’m sure you’ve looked at ways to supplement your income in the past. However, the issue you encountered was that you would have to sacrifice time in order to make them function.

That implies fewer hours of sleep, fewer social interactions, and less time to spend with your family. You evaluated your alternatives and determined that you might not be able to pull it off.

The MLM attitude, on the other hand, is quite different. You may hold them responsible for promoting toxic positivity (essentially telling others that they can juggle things even if they can’t) and pushing the #bossbabe lifestyle.

Before we go further in this JewelScent review, I will define two terms first: MLM and pyramid scheme.

MLM members make money by selling products and recruiting new members. In pyramid schemes, members could only make money by recruiting people. Pyramid schemes are illegal and banned by the FTC.

As a disclaimer, I am not affiliated with JewelScent in any way.

Hopefully this JewelScent review can help you decide whether you want to sign up for the company or not.

What is JewelScent?

JewelScent Review - JewelScent intro

JewelScent is a multi-level marketing company that focuses on selling bath bombs, scented candles, and also scented wax melts with a mystery jewelry at the center.

Basically, it’s the same scheme as Ring Bomb Party.

Sara Nguyen founded JewelScent in 2013. After taking a three-year long rest to personally care for her children, she decided to launch her own company.

She used to be involved in a family business that sells jewelry. JewelScent was born from merging Nguyen’s two interests: fragrance and jewelry.

JewelScent was launched by Nguyen along with Derin Oyekan and Catherine Lee. They then adopted the MLM business model a year later.

Stay until the end of this JewelScent review to know more about what the company is hiding from you.

This video will tell you more about the company.

JewelScent Products

JewelScent Review - JewelScent products

The company sells the following types of products:

  • Candles
  • Bath bombs
  • Home fragrance

JewelScent claims that their jewelry are valued at $20 and above, but going by the prices they sell the products for, I highly doubt that their jewelry is really worth what they say.

Much like the complaints from customers of Ring Bomb Party, the rings from this company also turn the wearer’s finger green, which is not good.

This reaction is often seen on really cheap jewelry, so I bet that the true cost of JewelScent’s jewelry is less than a dollar.

How Do MLMs Work?

MLMs are great manipulators and deceivers. They may appear amicable at first in order to gain your trust.

However, you will eventually discover how unconcerned they are for you. People frequently understand this when it is already way too late and they are already drowning in debt.

MLMs frequently advertise themselves as side hustles that you can perform on your own time, and they primarily target single parents.

These are the folks who are looking for methods to supplement their income while spending time with their developing children. Because they cannot afford a babysitter, they are responsible for their children for the most of the day.

These businesses target these folks because they are the ones who are prepared to go to any length to feed their children. They use false promises of riches and success in order to brainwash people.

These people, of course, would believe them because they view these corporations as their saviors.

Another notion I’d want to bring up is the previously stated toxic positivity attitude. Since the first day of their membership, these MLMs instill this attitude in its members.

This is how toxic positivity works. Regardless of what their relatives or friends say about the company, the person still decides on signing up for an MLM.

The firm then brainwashes the customer into believing that everyone who says anything negative about the opportunity they signed up for is just a hater who doesn’t know what they’re talking about.

The difficulty is that it is now quite easy to do research about the illegal activities of these predatory businesses. They were even covered by the mainstream media.

People aren’t stupid. They’re conscious of what’s going on around them.

Is JewelScent a Pyramid Scheme?

Since JewelScent members earn money both by selling services and recruiting new members, then it is safe to say that JewelScent is not a pyramid scheme.

However, since JewelScent is still an MLM, do not expect to make money if you have no plans on recruiting people. Recruiting will earn you significantly more money than actual product selling, and is more encouraged.

This just makes JewelScent look like a pyramid scheme in disguise, doesn’t it?

Like Arogalife, Lifestyles, and Orenda International, JewelScent is not a pyramid scheme.

Is JewelScent a Scam?

No, JewelScent is not a scam.

However, if you think this is enough for you to jump in JewelScent’s so-called opportunity straight away, then I suggest that you hold your horses. This is just the most basic thing, so don’t go signing up for this company right away.

Before making your decision, I suggest that you do a thorough research on the MLM first.

How to Make Money from JewelScent

Since JewelScent is an MLM, there are only two ways to make money with the company. and these are:

  1. Selling products
  2. Recruiting members

I’m sure whomever contacted you didn’t care to explain these approaches in detail, so I guess I’ll have to do it for you before you make a decision.

Selling is a fairly self-explanatory and easy process. Joining an MLM comes with its own set of benefits.

Discounts on items are available, which will encourage you to check them out. Having the ability to purchase samples would be ideal since it would allow you to demonstrate to your clients the quality of items they would receive once their purchases arrive.

Recruiting, on the other hand, is a very other subject. You must be charismatic and likable in order to be successful in this.

As you read further in this JewelScent review, you will realize just how hard it is to make money here.

Those who can bring in a large number of new employees are rewarded with cash incentives, perks, and increased commissions.

Remember that the MLM business model is not sustainable, so as time goes by, you will run out of people to recruit.

MLMs do not really care about how many products you sell. What they care about is how many you buy and how many people you can bring in.

How to Join JewelScent

To join JewelScent, you will be required to purchase one of these starter packs:

  • Virtual Kit ($49). Includes the personalized website and back office suite to help you run your own eCommerce site smoothly.
  • Silver Kit ($79). Includes a signature candle, a bottle of aroma beads, a wax tart, and one piece of Moroccan Argan soap, along with the items in the Virtual Kit.
  • Gold Kit ($149). This pack includes over $300 worth of products. You will receive full size candles, beads, body scrubs, soap, and samples of other scents. This also includes the items in the Virtual Kit.

How Much Can You Make?

The issue with most MLMs is that they aren’t truthful with the individuals to whom they should be most trustworthy to, especially their members.

JewelScent, like other MLMs that don’t seem to care, doesn’t post a revenue disclosure statement.

You could think I was being overly harsh, but I’m just telling it like it is. Isn’t it the responsibility of a corporation to inform its investors whether they may profit?

That’s how pitches are made. The investors will then have to evaluate whether or not the company is worthwhile to invest in.

MLMs function in a similar way, except their primary investors are regular individuals like you and me.

These folks do not have a lot of money to squander away. They just have enough money to meet their basic requirements, with only a small amount left over for a side hustle.

These folks stand to lose more than they stand to gain.

What I don’t get is why these MLMs are so eager to brag about how fantastic everything is yet, in reality, MLM opportunities are a complete disaster.

They promise you finances and success, yet 99% of individuals who join MLMs never see any of those things.

Are you prepared to take a chance on the 1%?

No, “working hard” will not help you overcome those odds. There are a number of additional elements at play here.

Consider your family. You’ll be bringing them down with you as well.

Things I Like in JewelScent

I cannot say anything positive about this company, to be honest.

They are a typical run-of-the-mill MLM whose goal is to unload their mediocre products to people who are unknowingly paying for cheap jewelry.

This is the main reason why I do not recommend this MLM at all.

Things I Dislike in JewelScent

No Income Disclosure Statement

This business does not disclose an income disclosure statement, which is a red flag in and of itself.

I’m not sure why they won’t disclose such vital information with their members, but it’s not a good indication.

Is there something they’re trying to keep hidden?

Limited Market Reach

Jewelry does not appeal to everyone.

Honestly, most individuals don’t bother buying accessories because they don’t actually serve a function.

This company is undoubtedly aware of this, which is why they decided to be an MLM.

Members of an MLM must first purchase items using their own money before they may sell them.

This is done to ensure that businesses benefit even if the member is unable to sell the product. To tell you the truth, this rule is totally against the rights of the member.

Low Quality, Overpriced Products

JewelScent sells expensive, low-quality goods while making it appear as though they are worth anything.

If you want good-looking costume jewelry, you can get one for less than a dollar on Wish and AliExpress.

You do not need to spend hundreds of dollars here, as their jewelry is literally the same quality as the ones on the sites I mentioned.

Triggers Gambling Addiction

This MLM might regrettably provoke people’s gambling addictions due to its random nature.

They will continue to purchase more in order to obtain the specific thing they desire.

This, I assume, is the company’s primary objective in order to sell their shoddy jewelry.

It is an MLM

This is an MLM, so it means that a lot of people definitely failed in this venture. In fact, 99% of people who join MLMs fail to make money, and they do not even earn back their initial investment.
