Today, we’re going to talk about Store Formula, an online course by Jon Mac. Is this a scam course or not? Let’s see in this Store Formula review.
The current pandemic situation has been pretty hard for many of us. Not only is everyone struggling to cope with the current unusual standards, but some of us also have to deal with rampant unemployment.
And with several industries shutting down, finding a new job after your old one can prove to be quite a challenge.
So instead of seeking employment, many people have decided to turn to the internet to make money. From doing quick jobs to freelance work, to setting up their own business.
But most people initially don’t have the adequate knowledge to do that. And so they invest in some online course that can teach them how to.
Jon Mac’s Store Formula is one of those courses. You may have heard about this as it’s always advertised to people who want to make money online.
Store Formula aims to teach users how they can earn money online. By setting up their own online business.
But is this the perfect online moneymaking system for you?
Before you decide to spend any money on this course, you should read this Store Formula review first. So that you can decide for yourself if this is worth it for you, or not.
DISCLAIMER: This is a fully independent Store Formula review. I’m not affiliated with Store Formula in any way or form whatsoever.

What Is Store Formula?

As stated on the About page of the website of Store Formula…
Store Formula is a free e-learning online coaching program with step-by-step video instructions on how to start and grow a stable and successful eCommerce business.
Basically, it teaches you how you can build and manage your own online business. The business model that they’re going to teach you here is dropshipping.
Store Formula also teaches how you can build an online store of your own through CommerceHQ. CommerceHQ is another eCommerce platform that’s similar to Shopify.
The Store Formula online also claims to be constantly updated to better reflect current conditions. And as of today, it’s now on its fourth iteration, aptly named “Store Formula 4.0”.
You should take note, however, that if you want to start your own dropshipping business, you may have to run into a lot of issues with it. And compared to others like being an affiliate marketer, dropshipping requires A LOT of time, and resources, for you to be successful in it.
I’m not saying this to discourage you from starting your own dropshipping business, though. I’m only saying that it could be hard to make money here, but certainly not impossible.
However, some people may not like the hassle of it, and may prefer other methods which are a bit simpler for them, or more suitable for their preference.

The Man Behind Store Formula
Jon Mac is the creator, and chief instructor, of Store Formula.

He’s also the founder of the CommerceHQ platform, on which Store Formula is under. Aside from that, he bills himself as a “successful online entrepreneur, motivator, coach, and mentor”.
He also claims that his passion and drive comes from actually changing his students’ lives. But we could dismiss it as just a simple sales pitch because ALMOST ALL business gurus say the same thing.
Other than those, there’s not much information about him publicized online. His social media following also isn’t as large compared to other business mentors of his kind. However, it’s numerous enough for him to be considered legitimate.
What Is Included In Store Formula?
As stated before, Store Formula is an online course that basically teaches users how they can earn money online. And that is by starting their own dropshipping business.
The entire online course is composed of 53 video tutorials, and overall comprises a runtime of 9 hours and 17 minutes. However, it’s intended to be taken in a total span of 4 weeks (so as to better understand everything being taught).
Below is an overview of what you can expect from the Store Formula online course. You also need to be mindful of two things about this course.
- As it’s also being updated from time to time, there could be some minor changes to the learning materials contained within.
- As this course is also under CommerceHQ, the instructions contained here are intended to be learned with that selling platform. If you want to use a different, competing brand (i.e. Shopify), then it may need some minor adjustments.
Store Formula Week 1: Build
The online course starts with it teaching users two things.
First, it teaches you how to build your online store first. Again, as Store Formula is under CommerceHQ, you’re going to learn how to do this inside the CommerceHQ website.
Second, it teaches you the proper mindset to keep when starting your own dropshipping business. Almost all business online courses do this, so you can expect the same thing here (importance of hard work and dedication, this is not a get-rich-quick scheme, etc.)
This section is comprised of 10 modules.
Store Formula Week 2: Select
In this section, the system will give you some pointers on what products you should include in your online store.
The course tells you to select products based on a few pointers. Whether is it trending or not on Facebook, how much you need to spend on it, and how much can you profit from them once you’re the one selling them.
It also has a special software that helps you to look at those Facebook ads that are trending. Making your task a little bit easier.
While these pointers are important as well, you should also consider your own niche. You won’t be able to market your products effectively unless you’re quite knowledgeable about them, right?
This section is comprised of 14 modules.
Store Formula Week 3: Launch
This section now deals with the marketing and promotion of your newly-built online store.
This, as well as the section after this, is one of the reasons why this business method isn’t really advisable for most beginners (despite what others say).
Because this course advises you to use Facebook ads to drive traffic to your website. They even boast of a “secret FB Ads formula” that they’ll share here for best results.
But Facebook ads, at best, still can cost some money. If you’re not careful and your marketing campaign fails, you may end up losing some of your money on marketing alone.
The one thing good about this, though, is that this section is constantly updated to adapt to the different Facebook algorithms. But it would’ve been great for this if this course also shares some strategies for free traffic generation.
This section is comprised of 11 modules.
Store Formula Week 4: Outsource
The final section of this course deals with outsourcing your business. That is, you hire people to do some of the work for you.
While this section is also comprehensive in dealing with this topic, this idea isn’t recommended for those people that are new to this.
It would be more suitable for them to first learn how they can run their business themselves. Then once they get a feel of it and the business in question is gaining stable profits, then you can start hiring people.
How Much Does Store Formula Cost?
To enroll at the Store Formula online course, you would need to pay around $997. Availing of this course will give you these two benefits.
- Access to the Store Formula online course.
- A single year’s worth of subscription to the CommerceHQ selling platform.
- Access to their private Facebook group.
Personally, this only reinforces the fact that this course certainly isn’t “beginner-friendly”. Because for a course like this, it’s admittedly expensive.
Furthermore, based on what I’ve seen, the course itself doesn’t really provide any good value to the user. But we’ll talk more about that later on.

What I Like About Store Formula?
Store Formula constantly updates the lessons inside to better suit the current trends in the dropshipping business. This is necessary as one lesson that you learned in the past may not be applicable in the present.
The free CommerceHQ subscription is a good bonus. This means you can already start your dropshipping business right off the bat once you join this course. But even more importantly, you don’t need to pay extra to avail of these services.
Finally, customer support for this is good enough. While it may not be the best one out there, it’s still decent enough that you won’t feel like being scammed.
What I Don’t Like About Store Formula?
For an online course whose pricing is quite high, it doesn’t give enough value to its students due to several reasons.
First, it’s not as comprehensive as one might expect. It’s like the entire course only works for a single service (CommerceHQ) and some of the lessons can’t be applied to other similar services.
Secondly, you get to only learn one method to drive traffic to your eCommerce store. And it has to even rely on paid methods which are, obviously, not newcomer-friendly due to their potential cost.
Third, most of the learning materials here can already be learned somewhere else. And the best part of this, SOME of them are accessible for FREE.
Lastly, CommerceHQ may be a good quality eCommerce platform. But Shopify has the benefit of being more stable and reliable due to its rich history. There’s a VERY GOOD reason why Shopify is one of the most popular eCommerce platforms today.
Will You Recommend Store Formula?
Weighing in the pros and cons of this online course during this Store Formula review, I’m going to say that my recommendation for this may vary.
If you want to learn how to build your own online business AND free access to a selling platform with no additional cost, then Store Formula may be worth it for you.
However, in general, I don’t really recommend Store Formula to anyone, especially for dropshipping newcomers.
The high price can be justified if the quality of this course is excellent. But seeing as some of it is pretty basic, PLUS the fact that you need to rely on paid advertisements for your traffic, it’s not really worth it for this course.
At the very least, however, Store Formula is not a scam like Gearbubble, private label masters and my Ecom club. Seeing as I’ve read and watched some success stories from people who took this course.
Store Formula Review: Final Thoughts
Before I close off this Store Formula review, I would like to share a few more insights that could help you.
Most of these internet marketing gurus claim that they have earned upwards of $1,000 per day, or even more, just by using this system. And they claim that they’re now willing to share it with you because it’s their “passion to help people”.
Obviously, it’s only a cheesy sales tactic meant to make you avail of their online course. But that earnings figure is indeed possible to achieve.
But you just have to know what system is best for you. And it could take a lot of trial and error for you to achieve that point.
And it’s also for this reason that I don’t really recommend the Store Formula course, or dropshipping in general, if you’re looking for a good business method to make money online.
Especially if you’re a complete newcomer who’s just starting from scratch.
While the lessons that this course can give are completely legitimate, it’s also nothing new. The fact that to start your dropshipping business you also need a good amount of capital (which you may or may not have already) only adds to the problems of this course.
So it’s best if you just stay away from Store Formula. And if you want to learn dropshipping, then you should look elsewhere.
If you want my personal advice, however, there’s still a better way to make money online out there. And most of the time, it only involves little monetary capital, and some knowledge.
To find out more about it, keep on reading beyond this Store Formula review.
