LifeWave Review – Another Health MLM Scam?

Today we will be reviewing a company called LifeWave. Is LifeWave a scam? Find out in this LifeWave Review.

You wake up one day, finding message notifications on your phone. It is from someone on your friend list in social media, but you do not even talk to them. This person could be someone you know from before, like a high school classmate, an acquaintance you never talked to again, or maybe an ex-lover.

Either way, they just decided to slide into your DMs one day, spouting some weird nonsense about products that have “changed their life”. Because you are “special”, they decided to share them to you, so that your life can change as well. There is also a part where they talk about how you can earn thousands by selling these stuff.

Curious and confused at the same time, here you are, because you decided to research what that was all about. Honestly, I am glad that you did not trust them right away. After all, why would they even contact someone they do not even talk to?

I suggest you brace yourself because you are in for a ride today. This LifeWave review will be spilling a lot of tea about the company.

Before we go further in this LifeWave review, I will define two terms first: MLM and pyramid scheme.

MLM members make money by selling products and recruiting new members. In pyramid schemes, members could only make money by recruiting people. Pyramid schemes are illegal and banned by the FTC.

As a disclaimer, I am not affiliated with LifeWave in any way.

Hopefully this LifeWave review can help you decide whether you want to sign up for the company or not.

My #1 Recommendation

What is LifeWave?

LifeWave Review - LifeWave intro

LifeWave is a multi-level marketing company in the health and wellness niche. The company was founded in 2004 by David Schmidt, and is currently based in California, United States.

For over three decades, Schmidt has worked as an entrepreneur and product developer, and he even worked for the military as a researcher. I guess these skills and experiences make him credible enough to run a company like this.

LifeWave Products

LifeWave Review - LifeWave products

The flagship product of LifeWave is their “healing patches”. It is also their most popular yet controversial product because they made some pretty bold claims regarding them.

These so-called healing patches were allegedly created using nanotechnology. They say that no chemicals or drugs were involved in the manufacturing process of these patches, and that it only contains oxygen, water, and amino acids. Even I got confused about what they were trying to say here.

Apparently, just sticking these patches to parts of your body will improve your health dramatically. That sounds made up, and I am not sure if they are aware that people are not really that dumb to believe such claims.

They state that these patches stimulate pressure points in your body, which explains why using them will benefit your health. I guess this video will help explain that better.

The effectiveness of LifeWave’s patches are subject to scrutiny, because people who feel better may just be experiencing a placebo effect. Regardless, these patches seem to be products they sell the most of.

LifeWave’s product line also includes nutritional supplements, skincare products, and fitness products.

How Do MLMs Work?

Let us talk about MLMs in-depth. This section is dedicated to exposing the truth behind the operations of MLM companies. I suggest that you read this entirely, and do not skip especially if this is your first time on this website. The truths I will be talking about are all backed by credible sources.

I am certain that this section will influence your decision. After reviewing hundreds of MLMs and spending hours of my life researching them, I have come to notice some patterns and similarities between each of them. Today, I will be discussing why MLMs continue to exist, despite the world having no more need for them.

You can buy anything online nowadays. All you have to do is to browse e-commerce stores. I am an avid online shopper myself, and sometimes I use retail therapy in order to de-stress. From my observations, the biggest e-commerce sites in the worlds have simple, straightforward UIs, which helps customers browse easier.

This has been the norm for a while, so what I do not understand is why MLMs still exist. There is no more need for them anymore, because people only need to search for the product they want. They no longer need to go through a middleman for transactions.

Well, I guess the reason why MLMs are still around is because there are still people who believe them. They are good with lying, and they usually target desperate people who just want to make money.

Other than that, these MLMs are also very manipulative. They ask their members to quit their jobs in order to fully devote their time to them, even though they will not be paid wages for their work. MLMs really are the worst.

Is LifeWave a Pyramid Scheme?

Since LifeWave members earn money both by selling services and recruiting new members, then it is safe to say that LifeWave is not a pyramid scheme.

However, since LifeWave is still an MLM, do not expect to make money if you have no plans on recruiting people. Recruiting will earn you significantly more money than actual product selling, and is more encouraged.

This just makes LifeWave look like a pyramid scheme in disguise, doesn’t it?

Pyramid scheme vs Multi-level marketing

Like VoxxLife, Elevacity, and Enagic, LifeWave is not a pyramid scheme.

Is LifeWave a Scam?

No, LifeWave is not a scam.

However, if you think this is enough for you to jump in LifeWave’s so-called opportunity straight away, then I suggest that you hold your horses. This is just the most basic thing, so don’t go signing up for this company right away.

Before making your decision, I suggest that you do a thorough research on the MLM first. You can consult some of the sources I listed below. Take note that you can definitely consult any source you want to, but the sources I listed below are the best kinds to consult, for various reasons listed.

What Sources Should You Look For?

There are three kinds of sources that you can consult when it comes to researching MLMs. There are other kinds of sources, but I believe that these two sources will be of the most help to you.

Luckily for you, the best source is the one you are reading at the moment. Yes, this LifeWave review is just an example of the best source you can consult online, called third-party reviews. Like their namesake, these reviews were published by entities who have no connections whatsoever with any MLMs.

This means that they can publish facts without thinking about it hurting an MLM’s reputation. Nothing holds them back from exposing the truth, especially if the truth is backed by credible sources.

If you have concerns that were not answered by third-party reviews, you can always consult online forums. Forums are good databases of information, because forum users are always updating them. This gives you assurance that every time you visit a forum, you only get the latest information available.

Forum members are quite friendly too. They dedicate their time to updating the forum threads and to answering questions from other members. Some forum members used to work for MLMs too, which just adds credibility to them. Their goal is to get people educated to the truth behind these companies.

How to Make Money from LifeWave

Since LifeWave is an MLM, there are only two ways to make money with the company. and these are:

  1. Selling products
  2. Recruiting members

I am sure that this part was not really discussed thoroughly by the hunbot who tried to sell you the opportunity. Regardless, now that you are reading this LifeWave review, I guess I will be giving you a crash course on how to make money in this MLM.

Selling products is pretty self-explanatory, and is probably the only method discussed by the hunbot. Basically, once you sign up for LifeWave, you are eligible to buy products for discounted, wholesale prices. You can then sell them for retail prices, and that is how you earn a profit. There is a fixed percentage you can get.

The recruiting aspect is really where it’s at. You get the most money by utilizing this method, because if you were able to recruit enough people, you do not even need to sell products by yourself anymore. All you have to do is take your downline’s product orders.

Remember that the MLM business model is not sustainable, so as time goes by, you will run out of people to recruit.

MLMs do not really care about how many products you sell. What they care about is how many you buy and how many people you can bring in.

How Much Can You Make?

Seems like this company has just made itself look even more shady. Let us forget about the ridiculous claims they made regarding their products at the moment and focus on the financial aspect. I mean, this is the main reason why you are contemplating about whether you should join this company, right?

Releasing an income disclosure statement is not really a requirement for MLMs. However, they should be aware that their business runs because of the trust given to them by members. They surely deserve better, right?

Members should be made aware of how much money they can earn in the company. Not only that, but they should not be lied to in terms of earnings and how much money they need to put in for the opportunity to work.

The problem is these MLMs are well-aware that people who join MLMs do not make money. Of course they would not want to tell them that, so they find ways to avoid the question. This behavior does not do them any favors, as it just makes them look worse than they already are.

Things I Like in LifeWave

Established Company

This company has been in the business since 2004, which means that they are nearing they have been in the market for more than a decade. That is impressive, especially because LifeWave is in a competitive niche.

I guess this means that LifeWave continues to be profitable, despite of all the new competition they face through the years. The company continues to be stable, meaning that whatever they are doing seems to be working.

Trusted by Athletes

LifeWave’s Energy-Enhancing Patches is being used by the US Olympic swim team to improve their athletic performance. This resulted in a controversy surrounding illegal drug use. Samples of said patches were sent for testing to the United States Anti-Doping Agency (USADA), but turned up nothing.

This means that the products really are drug-free, like the company claims.

Things I Dislike in LifeWave

Expensive Products

Regardless of how interesting their products are, they did not seem to think that people will be turned off by how overpriced they are. For one, their Energy-Enhancing Patches cost $89.95 for 30 patches. That is just ridiculous.

Other than that, their skincare products also seem to be a lot more expensive than prices set by other MLMs. Yes, other MLMs. I think you know by now that MLMs have overpriced products, but LifeWave seems to have topped them all.

It is an MLM

This is an MLM, so it means that a lot of people definitely failed in this venture. In fact, 99% of people who join MLMs fail to make money, and they do not even earn back their initial investment.
