Ecom Warrior Academy is a course that will teach you the basics of dropshipping. This business model has been particular popular lately, as it would not require you to spend as much money as building your brand from the ground up.
However, I would like to reiterate that this course will only teach you about the basics, so if you are already experienced in the field of dropshipping, then I suggest looking elsewhere.
The course is created by Matthew Lepre.
In this course, you will learn how to start you very own Shopify dropshipping store, and how you can drive customers to your store with the help of social media. This course will also cover related topics like marketing, logistics, and customer service.
What’s more, you get lifetime access to the course. The course is also being constantly updated.
Ecom Warrior Academy Overview
Unfortunately, there is no proper breakdown of the modules in the main website for the course. It seems like the topics covered by this course are identical to the other eCommerce courses I already reviewed, like eCom Babes.
Since this is only a beginner course, I am pretty sure that you can download free resources in the internet. As long as you know where to look, you can definitely find free resources that are better than what this course is offering.
There is no information in the landing page that will tell what the course has to offer, or even a course outline. All you can find there are pages which tell you to send an email to the provided address to get more information.
Judging from how the website operates, it seems like it is merely pages with contact information. Not user-friendly at all.
What is Ecom Warrior Academy About, Really?
However, it seems like there is a free “training video” which will supposedly give you a good introduction to dropshipping. This video is of no help though, as it is merely Matthew talking about how dropshipping can change your life.
Then, Matthew shows you how successful his life has become, along with some success stories from some of his students. Honestly, that still did not help me know what topics are included in the course.
Matthew then said that he uses a “3-step system” which helps him earn millions. That talk wasn’t of any help either, as Matthew did not even tell how the steps were put into practice.
Seems like after going through that 42-minute video, it still did not give me an idea as to what this course is all about.

Who is Matthew Lepre?
Matthew Lepre is an entrepreneur from Australia. According to him, he makes 6 figures a month from building successful eCommerce businesses.
Seems like Matthew is no different from other gurus, as he claims that he was able to find success in a short period of time.
What I find concerning about his claims is that according to him, he has spend hundreds of thousands of dollars in order to find a formula that worked for him. If he claim that he was broke, then where did all these money come from?
Matthew is pretty active in social media, but the videos I found in his YouTube channel are not really educational. They are about his lifestyle and travel vlogs.
Is Matthew Lepre Legit?
In my opinion, I don’t think that this guy is a scammer.
However, I advice against trusting him completely. After all, he has no intentions of revealing what is included in the course in his website.
Judging from how basic this course it, I am not sure if this will really teach you how to be successful in the dropshipping business. These basics are also available online in free sources.
How come it claims that by following the guide, it will guarantee you 6-figure earnings? A basic course has no potential to do that.
There is also a mentorship program. However, this will not give you direct contact with Matthew, as it will be handled by a consultant. It also includes support and access to a Facebook group.
Matthew might seem like a good guy, but I don’t think his course is up to par with what you are looking for in a course valued at $4,000.

High Financial Risk
It is quite costly to start out, as you need to pay for everything out of pocket. Even without having to pay for inventory upfront, you have a lot of other costs to consider, like website hosting, subscriptions to programs you need to design your website, etc.
Those are just the tip of the iceberg, though. In order to start putting your brand name out there, you need to rely on ads, or pay influencers to advertise for you.
However, you should make sure that you are getting business. Those costs you will be paying for monthly will not be stopping anytime soon, even if you get no orders.
Very Little Quality Control
Since you have no control over the quality of products that your buyers will be receiving, you also cannot give them quality customer support. Of course, you have no idea what went wrong, and only the supplier does.
However, your supplier can easily deny any wrongdoing on their part. This means that you are left to refund your customer or do a chargeback, which will not be good for your store’s reputation.
Ads are Not Cheap
You needs ads to get people interested with your brand. However, you would want to be seen in the biggest internet platforms if you want those orders to come. Advertising on social media is not cheap, though.
In order to beat other brands, you need to purchase a more expensive plan to get your ads out there. Of course, those competitors are aware of this, and will do the same.
It is quite hard to get noticed, especially if your products are from competitive niches like apparel, cosmetics, and other fashion items.
Not to mention that the cost of ads also increase yearly because of demand. Yikes.

What I Like in Ecom Warrior Academy
Considering how the website did not even inform me as to what is included in the course, then I don’t think there is anything positive to me say. All I could do was speculate on what the content is.
What I Dislike in Ecom Warrior Academy
What I noticed about this course is how overpriced it is. For a beginner course, I think a few hundred dollars is acceptable, but this one will cost you a whopping $4,000.
Not only that, but you cannot even see what is included in your purchase. Are the topics included really the ones you need to know about? What if you already know them?
I don’t think this course is worth your attention, considering that there are cheaper eCommerce courses out there.
Also, dropshipping has a lot of disadvantages. It is not really that profitable unless you are ready to invest a lot of money in it.
Final Verdict – Ecom Warrior Academy
Before I end this Ecom Warrior Academy review, I would like to share a few more insights that could help you.
Now that you have the necessary knowledge about how dropshipping works, then I doubt that you would want to buy this course. It is overpriced, and like I said before, you can find free resources that can give better information.
I don’t think that dropshipping is a good side hustle, as it is a business that would still require you to spend quite an amount of money even though you are not required to purchase inventory.
Also, remember that a side hustle is supposed to be something that you can manage in your free time. A business of this scale is something that requires a lot of attention, as you have daily tasks to accomplish everyday.
I do not recommend dropshipping, as it is quite complex for a beginner who is looking for a side hustle. In fact, it is quite a stressful business to get into if you just starting out.
I know of a side hustle which is a lot more easier to learn than dropshipping. It is a less stressful option too. You can learn more details about it in the next section.
