I didn’t really know who Mike Vestil was before all of this. A quick search on YouTube lead me to a lot of different results. The one I was most surprised by was his YouTube channel. Not that he has a YouTube channel. But he somehow has more than 600 thousand subscribers.
A lot of creators would for those kinds of numbers. But when I saw the type of videos that he did, I sort of understood why he got that high of a subscriber count. Still, it’s not really something that I would have expected. There are that many people who watch those kinds of videos? But as I saw the more recent video, I realized that he had already the peak of high views counts. The amount of views he gets doesn’t seem equal to the subscribers he already has.
I was still really confused by how exactly his popularity rose relatively quickly. I would have understood if it were in the 100 thousand range. But at least half a million? Really? People are just that interested in his videos on how to earn money? There’s so many videos about that topic. How was he even able to break through all of the noise?
I still had a lot of questions. And I am hoping that I find some answers.

Who Is Mike Vestil?
There isn’t really much to know about Mike Vestil.
His family migrated to the United States from the Philippines. It’s the usual case of trying to live the American dream. There are often a lot of more opportunities that are available in the United States. So that’s why a lot of people from the Philippines choose to move here.
It’s pretty much a similar story to a lot of immigrant families out there. His parents had to work twice as hard to make it in America. Mike struggled to get used to new surroundings after spending most of his childhood in another country. I don’t think that he mentioned how old he was when they moved to the United States. But let’s just assume that he was still relatively young when they did.
Similar to a lot of Asian immigrant families, Mike’s parents wanted him to pursue a career in medicine. There’s always that expectation to have a high-paying career so you don’t have to worry that much about your future. Mike decided to pursue dentistry. It should not be much of a surprise that Mike Vestil didn’t enjoy it.
So he decided to ask people who were smarter than him about other opportunities to earn money that didn’t really involve having to work regular hours at a regular job. Somebody suggested that he start his own online business that didn’t required him to create a product or fulfill any orders. What that person was talking about was affiliate marketing.

Initially, I was really confused by the vagueness of the copy on Mike Vestil’s website. He often uses the phrase “passive income” in a lot of the sections on his website. Passive income basically refers to income wherein you don’t have to do anything but the money keeps on coming. It’s truly hard to successfully earn money passively. There is some level of effort being exerted for you to earn money online.
When you click on any of the learn more buttons, you’re going to be redirected to a page for a webinar that Mike Vestil does. There’s very minimal copy on that page. You’re somehow going to discover three secrets that lead him to scale the income that he earns. Since it’s a secret, they’re not going to tell you immediately until you register for the webinar.
You’re actually currently in marketing funnel of sorts. It’s basically this method of attracting potential customers to your business. Almost every other training program uses as marketing funnel to get people interested in the program. Mike Vestil’s program is no different.
His YouTube channel is a lot more explicit when it comes to telling you how exactly he managed to earn a million dollars within a year.
There are two specific things he did that earned him the money that he has now: affiliate marketing and dropshipping.
What Is Affiliate Marketing?
First, let’s talk about affiliate marketing.
Affiliate marketing is a form of marketing where you can earn money by simply referring a product through whatever means. Usually, it just means linking the product page on a platform that has an affiliate program. A lot of websites, especially online publications, use affiliate marketing as an additional revenue stream. E-commerce platforms like Amazon and Shopify have affiliate programs that you can sign up for. You only earn a percentage through every purchase made through a link that’s tagged to your account.
That’s pretty much what affiliate marketing is all about. You basically just write about how good a product is and you drop the link to the product on your blog. The more people buy that product through your link, the more money you earn.
I think the type of affiliate marketing that Mike Vestil is going to recommend to you is through ClickBank. It’s free to join so you don’t have to shell out money at the start. I’ve never really tried ClickBank before. So I couldn’t really talk about its effectiveness. But considering that they have paid out a total of $5.4 billion to its affiliates, you have a good chance of earning money through affiliate marketing.
One of the main hurdles with affiliate marketing is actually having to market those products. Sure, you don’t have to handle the packaging of the product that you are marketing. But you’re still selling the product to consumers. It’s your goal to make a sale. Just putting out a link isn’t enough to earn money.
What Is Dropshipping?
Dropshipping is an e-commerce strategy where you let a third-party service handle the inventory and shipping of the product that you’re selling on your shop.
With dropshipping, you’re pretty much just setting up a shop. There’s no need to purchase any products to put into your inventory. You just have to pick a dropshipping platform and choose the products that you want to sell. When somebody buys that product, you notify that dropshipping platform and they will handle the packaging and delivery. You don’t have to do much else after that.
The reason why a lot of people choose to do dropshipping for their e-commerce shop is because they don’t have to worry about maintaining an inventory. Everything that you sell comes from a factory that already has that product. Often, the price that people pay you for the product is higher than the cost of it from the manufacturer. That’s how people earn money through dropshipping.
The main problem with dropshipping is that not everything that you sell are high quality items. But sometimes people don’t really care about that as long as they make money out of it.

There’s nothing that Mike Vestil does that’s different to what other people have done. Especially when it comes to training programs. Neither of the things that earned him a lot of money are novel ideas. Other people have done similar training programs that use the same concepts as he did.
The probability of earning money through either dropshipping and affiliate marketing really depends on you. If you don’t believe in any of the products that you’re going to sell, whether indirectly or not, there’s no reason for you to keep doing this. You have to have some integrity when it comes to the way that your earn money.
I can’t specifically recommend the training program that Mike Vestil offers. But if you’re interested in dropshipping and affiliate marketing, there are free resources out there. You don’t have to worry about potentially paying somebody to teach you about it.
