Nikken Review: Will This MLM Bring You Success?

Nikken Review: Will This MLM Bring You Success?

Today we will be reviewing a company called Nikken. Is Nikken a scam? Find out in this Nikken review.

If you have not heard about this company before you encountered someone you works there, then that is not that surprising. Nikken is an MLM, which explains why they are pretty obscure. In an MLM, they don’t really use traditional ways of marketing their products, like paid advertisements. They really on word-of-mouth.

Basically, you would not know that they exist, unless someone who already works for them talks to you. It is like an exclusive club of sorts. I guess this is one of their main selling points; people love to be in exclusive clubs because it boosts their ego by making them feel special.

Also, the opportunity the Nikken presented to you is really promising. Just imagine having to choose your own hours to work. This unlocks endless opportunities. You can have more time with your family, to work on your hobbies, and even to travel.

As you proceed to reading this Nikken review, I am sure that you will be learning quite a lot about the company. Not only that, but there is also a section dedicated to educating you about MLMs. Sit back, relax, and grab some popcorn.

Before we go further in this Nikken review, I will define two terms first: MLM and pyramid scheme.

MLM members make money by selling products and recruiting new members. In pyramid schemes, members could only make money by recruiting people. Pyramid schemes are illegal and banned by the FTC.

As a disclaimer, I am not affiliated with Nikken in any way.

Hopefully this Nikken review can help you decide whether you want to sign up for the company or not.

How Do MLMs Work?

Let’s talk about MLMs in general. I am sure that you have quite a lot of questions in mind, because all I did is give you the textbook definition of an MLM. There is more to know about them, except for the definition. Just know that I think MLMs are the worst, and they are not worth your time.

I do not recommend skipping this section if this is your first time doing a research about MLMs.

I have reviewed quite a lot of MLMs already, ranging in the hundreds at this point. By now, I think I have extensive knowledge about how these types of companies operate, as I have done quite a lot of research. I am confident to say that all MLMs are pretty much the same, with only a few exceptions.

For one, there are quite a lot of different types of MLMs. There are MLMs selling skincare products, cosmetics, health supplements, clothing, and even life insurance. You can definitely say that by now, there are MLMs for anything you can think of.

MLMs are always being mistaken as pyramid schemes by how they operate. They advertise that you can run your own business by giving them a few hundred dollars, then give you products that you can sell. The problem with this is that their products are purposely hard to sell, so you need to find another way to get rid of them and also get your money back.

This is where recruiting comes into play, and is the bread-and-butter of all MLMs. I mean, who else would be willing to spend money on these products other than the members themselves?

Is Nikken a Pyramid Scheme?

Since Nikken members earn money both by selling services and recruiting new members, then it is safe to say that Nikken is not a pyramid scheme.

However, since Nikken is still an MLM, do not expect to make money if you have no plans on recruiting people. Recruiting will earn you significantly more money than actual product selling, and is more encouraged.

This just makes Nikken look like a pyramid scheme in disguise, doesn’t it?

Pyramid scheme vs Multi-level marketing

Like Unicity, PM-International, and Noonday Collection, Nikken is not a pyramid scheme.

Is Nikken a Scam?

No, Nikken is not a scam.

However, if you think this is enough for you to jump in Nikken’s so-called opportunity straight away, then I suggest that you hold your horses. This is just the most basic thing, so don’t go signing up for this company right away.

Before making your decision, I suggest that you do a thorough research on the MLM first. You can consult some of the sources I listed below. Take note that you can definitely consult any source you want to, but the sources I listed below are the best kinds to consult, for various reasons listed.

What Sources Should You Look For?

There are three kinds of sources that you can consult when it comes to researching MLMs. There are other kinds of sources, but I believe that these three sources will be of the most help to you.

Luckily for you, this Nikken review is the best source you can find in the internet. Along with the other reviews in this website, these are the best sources available for you. These are called third-party reviews, and from their name alone, this means that these reviews are published by entities who are unaffiliated with MLMs.

This means that the information in these reviews are well-researched, and only contain factual information. Hours are spent gathering data and fact-checking, so you can be assured that these reviews are impartial and not biased.

If the reviews have not answered some questions you may have, then I suggest looking for forums. People who run forums discussing MLMs are more than happy to help out people who would like to learn more about these companies.

Forums have thousands of active members and organize their posts accordingly, so it is easy to look for threads that may have the answers. The main goal of these forums is to get as many people as possible educated with the truth about MLMs, so that they will not join one.

How to Make Money from Nikken

Since Nikken is an MLM, there are two basic ways to make money with the company. and these are:

  1. Selling products
  2. Recruiting members

The methods mentioned above may only be the basic ways, but it goes way deeper than that. MLMs like Nikken have quite the variety of bonuses and benefits that members can avail, as long as they qualify for it. These will boost your earnings and your future earning potential. Please consult the compensation plan section of this Nikken review to learn more.

Qualifying for these bonuses are harder than what they say, though. Most of the time, the bonuses can only be availed by people who have an active downline. What is a downline, you ask? Basically, it is the team of people under you. People that you personally recruited will be your downline members.

Well, the main reason why you got interested with this company in the first place is that you want to opportunity to run your own business. Technically, yes, you will be doing that, but majority of your time would be looking for people to recruit. You can earn lots more money by recruiting alone.

Remember that the MLM business model is not sustainable, so as time goes by, you will run out of people to recruit.

MLMs do not really care about how many products you sell. What they care about is how many you buy and how many people you can bring in.

Nikken Products

Nikken Review - Nikken products

Nikken sells the following types of products:

  • nutritional supplements
  • environmental products
  • rest and relaxation products
  • personal care products

How Much Can You Make?

Nikken actually published an income disclosure statement, unlike most MLMs. The most recent one I could find is from 2016, and you can read it here. Let’s dissect that data.

11.94% of the company’s members belong to the lowest rank, and have earned an average of $116.06 for that year. 20.66% earned an average of $199.29, $14.89 earned an average of $203.67, and 5.05% earned an average of $169. Take note that average income does not mean that this is all they made. The earnings could be higher or lower than these figures.

Also, I would like to reiterate that these earnings are for the entire year. This means that there were people who made less than $20 per month. This is just ridiculous, considering how much time and effort these people put in just to make this business work.

Take note that members do not get wages too. The only payments they get from all their effort come in the form of commissions. With no sales, they make no money. All their hard work is wasted, basically.

Are you willing to dedicate all your time, effort, and money to something that will not even pay you properly?

Things I Like in Nikken

Established Company

Nikken was founded in 1985, which means that they are operating for 36 years now. The average lifespan of an MLM company is 3 years, and Nikken was able to last a lot longer than that. That is definitely an impressive feat. Along with being able to stay in business for quite some time, Nikken also expanded its business to other countries.

From their years and experience in business, Nikken was able to build a loyal customer base that continues to support them.

Things I Dislike in Nikken

Expensive Products

Nikken’s products are priced higher than their non-MLM counterparts, which makes little to no sense to me. For one, I do not think that Nikken makes better products. If they do, they would not exactly stick with being an MLM, right?

An MLM is obscure, which means that it is less likely to get customers than a regular company that does better marketing and advertising. Also, people are less likely to support MLMs because of their negative reputation.

Saturated Market

Most MLMs I have reviewed in the past belong in the health and wellness niche, which just means that there are quite a lot of these companies out there. The niche is pretty competitive. The biggest brands and companies in the world are also in this niche, so basically, Nikken is nothing but a speck in the market.

If you think that I probably reviewed most health and wellness MLMs already, then you are wrong. I think I merely scratched the surface. There is more out there, and I will get to those eventually.

It is an MLM

This is an MLM, so it means that a lot of people definitely failed in this venture. In fact, 99% of people who join MLMs fail to make money, and they do not even earn back their initial investment.

Nikken Compensation Plan

You can view and access Nikken’s compensation plan by clicking this link.

Well, that document is 22 pages long. Rather than me having to explain it point by point and possibly giving you wrong information, I think it’s better to have this video explain it instead.

Final Verdict – Nikken

Before I end this Nikken review, I would like to share a few more insights that could help you.

You reached the end of the Nikken review, so congratulations. I believe that I was able to provide you with the answers you seek, and that now you have reached a decision. Before you do that though, I have a few more bits of advice to share.

I think I was able to properly explain why I have such strong opinions about MLMs. I call them glorified pyramid schemes, as they know how to play their cards. They manipulated the market to thinking that they are not scams, which explains how they were able to get away with their shady business practices.

They know exactly what to say in order to get people interested. For one, they say that you are your own boss. If this is true, then how come the data says that people barely make any money in this company? Don’t bosses usually earn a lot of money?

Also, why would you need to recruit people? A business does not run like that. The only recruiting aspect I could think of is hiring people in a business. You need to pay wages for the people you recruit, but in an MLM, they do not pay any wages.

MLMs also seek to manipulate every aspect of your life. They tell you to quit your stable job to commit full-time to the company. They also have the audacity to ask you to get your friends and family in the business. It’s way too much. You should not let a greedy corporation control your life.

A better opportunity is waiting for you in the next section, so keep on reading.

That’s it for my Nikken review. Hopefully this Nikken review helps with your decision.
