Today we will be reviewing a company called Oriflame. Is Oriflame a pyramid scheme or scam? Find out in this Oriflame MLM review.
I think the reason why you are here today is because someone you know messaged you about this life-changing opportunity.
It is more than likely that said person is someone you know, either a family member or friend, that said something along the lines of “changing your life by doing something groundbreaking” or something like that.
That person probably mentioned Oriflame to you, and began advertising their products without giving you a chance to back out.
I mean, you are probably looking at this right now after barely escape their endless barrage of messages.
Just to be clear, I am not affiliated to Oriflame in any way.
MLMs have products to sell, pyramid schemes do not. However, both heavily rely on recruiting.
If you haven’t heard of Oriflame before, then that is not so surprising.
I do not know anyone who knows or even recognizes the company either.
However, through my in-depth research, I could shed the light on what this company really is about.
In this Oriflame MLM review, I will be providing information about the company, its products, and how you can make money with it.
Hopefully this Oriflame MLM review can help you decide whether you want to sign up for the company or not.

What is Oriflame?
Oriflame is a multi-level marketing company that sells cosmetics and beauty products.
The company was founded by brothers Jonas and Robert Jochnick and Bengt Hellsten in 1967 at Sweden.
This means that the company has been around for more than 50 years.
Quite an impressive feat for an MLM, because most MLMs only last for 1 to 3 years.
Currently, Oriflame operates in around 60 countries, and there are 3 million Oriflame beauty consultants all around the world.
However, as you can see if you check their website, the products are not available in the United States.
Oriflame, just like any other MLM company, advertises a money-making opportunity equal to that of a job.
To find out more about the company and the opportunity, then I suggest watching this video.
Oriflame is currently based in Schaffhausen, Switzerland.
How Do MLMs Work?
Before we get back to our review, let me explain to you the basics of how an MLM works, how come they have so many members, and why MLMs continue to multiply despite the overwhelming demand for online shopping.
An MLM is pretty much like a normal company.
It has a CEO, a board of members, and investors. What makes it different is that you, the investor, is also the one responsible for marketing and selling the products.
Now that I have explained that to you in familiar terms, you can understand how ridiculous that sounds.
These MLMs always say things that “you are your own boss“, and yet, the company has a CEO. So, who really is the boss?
Clearly, you are not. Basically, you have to pay a fee to even “start your own business”.
However, once they take your money, they stop caring about you anymore.
They would not care if you sold those products or not, all they want is that money you paid to start.
What makes this pretty scummy is because most of the people they target are the vulnerable and the gullible.
As you may notice, most MLM members are the unemployed, single or stay-at-home parents, and fresh graduates. MLMs often oversell this so-called opportunity, which hooks these people to join.
Anyway, remember that if you are applying for a real job, you do not have to pay any money to start.
Do your own research and do not fall for these schemes.
Is Oriflame a Pyramid Scheme?
Since Oriflame members earn money both by selling services and recruiting new members, then it is safe to say that Oriflame is not a pyramid scheme.
Note that most of your profits would not be from selling though, but from recruiting.
If you want to succeed in Oriflame, you need to build your downline.
However, this is easier said than done.
Is Oriflame a Scam?
No, Oriflame is not a scam. However, there are still some things that Oriflame refuses to tell you, so you might want to watch this video to find out what facts the company could be hiding from you.
Before you even think about joining an MLM just because it sounds cool, well, I suggest you watch videos just like this to have a reference on unbiased insights about them.BONUS: Realistic Passive Income For Smart People(FREE Guide)>>
How to Make Money from Oriflame
Just like your typical MLMs, there are only two ways with which you can make money from Oriflame:
- Selling products
- Recruiting members
Take note that recruiting is more emphasized than selling. If you recruit quite a lot of people, the money you get as commissions from their sales will be more than what you will profit from selling products by yourself.
How Does Oriflame Work?
Oriflame, just like other MLMs out there, works the same way.
Oriflame conceptualizes and manufactures their products.
The next steps are up to you, the consultant.
You are responsible for marketing and selling, while Oriflame pays you commission for every product you sell.
You are also eligible to buying Oriflame products in wholesale prices, hence giving you the illusion that you are profiting off it.
The company saves a lot of money on advertising because it falls on the consultants.
Even though that is part of what they need to do to sell the products, Oriflame will pay them only for the sale aspect.
Other labor a consultant has to do like packing and shipping orders, traveling, and organizing parties will not be compensated.
Joining Oriflame is free unlike most MLMs, which could encourage more people to join the company.
However, you will need to buy a certain amount of products every month to remain active in the company.
Oriflame sells quite the variety of products that can be grouped into these categories:
- skin care products
- bath & body products
- hair products
- wellness products
- men’s products
Things I Like in Oriflame
Staying afloat for more than 50 years is no easy feat.
I guess Oriflame is doing something right to be able to keep up with all the competition that arise with every passing year.
Even though this could encourage you to join the company, you should know that this isn’t the only factor you should be looking at.
I guess this can solidify the fact that Oriflame is not a scam.
When a company lets the public invest and buy their stocks, it means that they are established enough to be doing so.
You can check Oriflame’s stock prices here.
Free to Join
This is a rare instance for me, because most of the MLMs that I have been reviewing are all demanding that you pay first before you can start selling their products.
Since Oriflame is offers free registration, you get to try it out first without the pressure of having to make sales straight away. It also encourages more people to join and see what the company is about.
Things I Dislike in Oriflame
Recruiting is Emphasized
Well, this is a typical trait in any MLM, so I am not surprised that it is also present in Oriflame.
Sure, it is free to join, but if you do not invest any money in it, you cannot really make money.
With recruiting, you get people to sign up under you and they basically have to do all the work. You can sit by idly and just wait for money paid to you as commission from their sales.
This is pretty scummy because you are like some sort of illegal recruiter.
I will never like this aspect in MLMs.
Lots of Competition
With the advent of Instagram, there are quite a lot of beauty and cosmetics companies popping out left and right.
Even if Oriflame is a company that has been here for many years, they are still fairly unrecognizable compared to brands like Colourpop and Kylie Cosmetics.
Most cosmetics brands often collaborate with famous franchises like Disney, and famous celebrities and influencers. This is what makes beauty brands of today so high in demand.
Oriflame just does not stand out compared to all that. Do not get your hopes up in terms of getting sales.
Very Low Income Potential
Unsurprisingly, Oriflame does not have a proper income disclosure document. This is all I could find.
Anyway, from the data that I managed to scrape from these very long document, I found out that active consultants made a measly €406.2 worth of sales in 2018. I have no other data that is more recent than that.
Let us try to work with this measly piece of data though.
This means that consultants only made €33.85 per month.
Now, isn’t that quite ridiculous?
I mentioned before that Oriflame does not really pay you for the other efforts you need to do to make sales, but seeing how little these consultants are making makes me feel really bad for them.BONUS: Realistic Passive Income For Smart People(FREE Guide)>>
Oriflame Compensation Plan
You can view Oriflame’s compensation plan by clicking on this link.
As usual, we encounter another MLM with a very confusing compensation plan that assumes that we can understand all these terms in one seating.
I suggest that you watch this video instead since it will explain the compensation plan to your more clearly.

Final Verdict – Oriflame
Before I end this Oriflame MLM review, I have quite a few thoughts to share which might help you decide.
I think that all MLMs are the same.
They are all scummy, exploitative, demanding, and dishonest.
Take Oriflame, for example.
Look at how it encourages people that they have an opportunity to make money here when they cannot even present the proper data which tells people how much they can potentially make.
Aside from that, it seems like Oriflame has delegated all responsibility to their consultants.
Just look at how much effort you need to exert just to make some sales, and do not even get me started by how they emphasize on recruiting.
It would have been easy if the company is unique and stands out from all the other beauty and cosmetics MLMs out there.
Tough luck, since very few are even aware of it.
How can you make sales when you have all these competition that do a better job on advertising and marketing?
Not to mention, these brands that Oriflame has been competing with have more high quality products and have better reputation.
Not everyone wants to support MLMs for their scummy nature, so do not expect your sales to skyrocket anytime soon.
That’s it for my Oriflame MLM review. Hopefully this Oriflame MLM review helps with your decision.
I do not recommend MLMs. but if you want to make money online, you should check out my #1 recommendation to making money online after reviewing 300+ MLM companies.>>>Free Training Reveals Best Way To Build An Online Business That Generates $10k/month From Scratch <<<
