Powur Solar Review: Pyramid Scheme or Legit MLM?

Today we will be reviewing a company called Powur Solar. Is Powur Solar legit? Find out in this Powur Solar review.

These days, we are all living with a lot of uncertainties. I am pretty sure that we are all feeling like the world could collapse at any moment, and that maybe life is becoming pointless.

I could totally understand why you would think that, considering how it seems like things will not go back to normal. It seems like what what we can do right now is to just live with the situation.

What I noticed is that people have taken things to their own hands. People are looking for a way to boost their income, as it seems like one job is not enough to sustain one’s lifestyle anymore.

I wouldn’t be surprised with that turn of events, though. Salaries are not really improving. In fact, a lot of people are complaining about how companies forced them to take pay cuts. It is either that, or resign. Doesn’t sound fair, right?

What brought you to this Powur Solar review is the prospect of making some money on the side. Luckily for you, I did my research, so I’ll be able to tell you whether this program can help you find your way to financial freedom.

Before you decide to commit to this company, you should read this Powur Solar review first. You should check if it is worth your time before you pay for it.

  • Website: https://powur.com/
  • Type: Affiliate Marketing
  • Niche: Multi-level Marketing
  • Owner: Jonathan Budd
  • Price: $99 (membership fee)

What is Powur?

Powur Solar Review: Logo

Powur is a multi-level marketing (MLM) firm that promotes solar panels as a source of renewable energy.

If you’ve never heard of solar panels or are still unsure what they are, I’ll attempt to describe them in the simplest words possible. It’s a type of device that converts light into energy and is utilized in homes and buildings. It generates energy primarily by using the sun as a light source.

It’s one of the most talked-about items today because of the several advantages it offers, including decreased power bills, renewable energy sources, and minimal maintenance expenses. But does it imply you’ll be able to make money from it?

Let’s talk about the company first before I try to answer that.

Powur Solar Review: Jonathan Budd

Jonathan Budd was the one who established Power in 2014.

He’s always been interested in environmental sustainability and business, so I’m guessing he’s had some experience with managing and motivating others.

Powur Solar Overview

Powur uses an MLM structure, but it differs from other companies in that it does not distribute any tangible goods or commodities, such as health supplements.

The company also acts as an associate or distributor for SolarCity, a business which provides solar energy services. Basically, they act as a middleman for SolarCity and their customers.

The company has also opened up to other suppliers. These include Skyline Solar, Solar Energy World, SunPower, SolTerra, Elevation, Titan, CamSolar, and Baker Electric Solar.

The good news is that these businesses are all legitimate. Their clients are free to choose the best one for their needs.

Product Line

As previously stated, you will be promoting solar panels, but you would not have any of the actual products with you. What you will be doing, however, is working as a Powur affiliate. You will be earning commissions on every successful transaction.

That is the problem. Because you don’t have an actual product on hand to sell, you’ll need to come up with creative ways to encourage customers to buy from you. It’s difficult because there’s no means of proving it unless you have one installed in your house.

Pricing

Powur’s membership fees start at $99. This allows the distributor, referred to as Advocate in the MLM company, to make $500 every time they successfully sell a unit. For an additional $299, however, you can become an Advisor. This allows you to profit from both your own and your team’s sales.

This package contains the license you’ll need to sell SolarCity panels, as well as the only training you’ll need to get started with your business.

It’s could be a lot of money, especially if you’re a newbie. Also, joining an MLM is not really a good idea.

How Do MLMs Work?

MLM infographic

I feel like I’ll be leaving you in the dark if I don’t include this section in my review.

After all, this may be your very first encounter with a multilevel marketing company. It would be unfair not to explain how a multi-level marketing company functions. The aforementioned textbook definitions are just insufficient.

I recommend reading the section fully if you’re new with the concept of MLMs. This section is effectively a crash course on multi-level marketing, so you may use what you’ve learned so far as you continue reading.

You may also pass on your newly learned information to people who need it, which makes for a great conversation starter.

MLMs are fully aware of the fact that they aren’t well-known. One of their marketing methods is to do just that.

Individuals are enticed to join by giving them incentives, such as a permanent discount on things, and then letting them to do the advertising themselves.

They entice them by convincing them that the products they are offering are revolutionary, and that people would rush to them to purchase them. This misleads people into thinking that product sales would come easily to them.

Gullibility is not a crime, thus those who trusted MLMs are not to blame. At some point in our lives, we’ve all believed something that proved to be wrong. It proved to be an important lesson.

The companies that jeopardize people’s financial circumstances should be the focus of our attention. They seem to be just thinking about themselves. As long as these folks give them money, the cycle of deception will continue.

MLMs are a complete waste of time and effort. Make sure to inform everyone you know of this fact.

Is Powur Solar a Pyramid Scheme?

Is the company a pyramid scheme? I will answer that in this part of the Powur Solar review.

Pyramid Scheme

Because Powur Solar members profit from both selling services and recruiting new members, it is reasonable to conclude that inCruises is not a pyramid scheme.

However, because Powur Solar is still an MLM, don’t expect to gain money unless you intend to recruit others. Recruiting earns substantially more money and is more encouraged than selling products.

Doesn’t this just make Powur Solar appear like a front for a pyramid scheme?

How to Make Money in Powur Solar

Selling and recruiting are the two ways with which you can make money with an MLM.

Your retail sales generate a 70% commission for you, with the remaining 30% going to Powur, according to their income system. It seems like to be a good deal because you’re getting the lion’s share of the earnings.

However, keep in mind that Powur is acting as a middleman. They already make money just by marketing these solar services, and they’ll make much more money from your work in helping them out.

Recruiting individuals to join the MLM is another option. For each person you successfully invite to the company, Powur pays you a 20% commission. You will also be paid commissions on sales made by your downline.

Can You Make Money in Powur Solar?

Powur Solar Review: Solar panels

What you need to consider is whether or not their earnings potential is worthwhile. Because they are already intermediaries, your profit margin may be quite low. Remember, this is an MLM; you will recruit your downline, who will recruit their downline, and so on.

However, the further people join the MLM, their profit will continue to decrease. Also, a solar panel is fairly expensive, it could be hard to find customers who can afford it.

The specifics you need to know as a distributor is a whole other obstacle. The solar panel itself is difficult in terms of how it works; you must know each supplier in order to properly explain it to the specifics to customers. There are also a lot technical words to you need to be familiar with.

Consider the amount of the information you need to assist your customer in making a decision. It can be fairly challenging if you are not knowledgeable regarding solar panel technology.

Is Powur Solar a Scam?

Powur Solar Review: Solar panel benefits

In this Powur Solar review, you will learn whether the company is legit or not.

Powur does not appear to be a scam. If you’re interested in solar panels, it’s a legitimate MLM firm from which you may make money. That does not mean that I encourage joining, though.

There are a lot of risks with joining this MLM, one of which is the product itself. While it is environmentally-friendly, it is difficult to market due to the high cost of solar panels. Solar panels from SolarCity, for example, may cost anywhere from $12,000 to $20,000 to install.

The commission is substantial, so it is at least rewarding, but selling solar panels will need a significant amount of effort.

In addition, unlike other MLM firms that which makes you sell skincare items or health products, there are no actual products you have on hand to sell. You just have to sell the items through persuasion.

Another factor you have to consider is the profit potential. You appear to be only eligible for commissions if Powur can get approximately $1,500. As a result, if they weren’t able to make that much, neither can you.

Powur Solar Pros and Cons

Pros

Environmentally-Friendly Products

Considering how serious global warming is, it is good to know that there are companies still willing to promote products that rely on renewable energy. After all, it is a good idea that we are being more concerned of the future of our environment.

The products have a lot of benefits to their consumers, which include cheaper electricity bills, as well as low maintenance costs for the solar panels.

Cons

Low Income Potential

When it comes to commissions you will be earning, do not expect to make a lot of money here. Like I stated earlier, you will only be able to make commissions once you make $1,500 in sales. That means that if you do not reach that quota, you do not make any money.

That just beats the purpose of all of your hard work then. It means that your efforts will definitely be wasted. Despite of you being required to pay the membership fee, you are in for something that might not make you money whatsoever.

Products are Hard to Sell

The solar panels you have to sell are definitely not affordable. Installation range from $10,000-15,000. That price is not money that  most people have. Besides, it could be difficult to convince people that they need a solar panel.

Unless you have prior experience with using solar panels or selling them, then I don’t think it is a good idea to join this MLM.

Final Verdict – Powur Solar

Before I end this Powur Solar review, I would like to share a few more insights that could help you.

Selling solar panels are not exactly how I pictured a good side hustle could be. Sure, they could work, especially if you are knowledgeable in entrepreneurship and the technology itself. On the other hand, joining an MLM just to sell them does not seem to be a good idea.

What I don’t like about MLMs is that they are very predatory. They do not care about the people whatsoever. All they want is money. They brainwash people into thinking that joining their company is the surefire way to succeed.

I don’t really see why you would be interested in selling solar panels if you are not knowledgeable about the technology. In my opinion, it is a lot more acceptable that you sell other more in-demand products. Products which you can sell again and again to the same people.

However, if you want to build a business that revolves around selling products, then I don’t suggest joining MLMs at all. There are other opportunities which involve selling, such as building an eCommerce business.

On the other hand, I recommend another side hustle which would not require you to spend a lot of money as initial investment. It is also very easy to learn, and you can do it on your free time.
