What is Recovery Rush?

Recovery Rush Review - Recovery Rush intro

Recovery Rush is a program designed by John Collins. It will teach you how to help Amazon sellers recover the erroneous fees which are paid to Amazon to be able to sell in the massive platform. Of course, you will be paid a commission depending on your performance.

Well, let’s discuss the nature of this opportunity real quick. If there is money to be recovered, then why aren’t the brands doing that themselves?

Simple. For one, they have no clue that such erroneous fees exist. Another reason is that they are probably aware of it, but they just have no idea to get it back.

To give you a better picture, let me tell you all about these fees that Amazon charges their sellers. There is the marketing cooperative fee (13%), shopping allowance (6%), and damage allowance fee (3%). All in all, 22% of a seller’s income just goes to Jeff Bezos’ pockets.

Moreover, there are some fees like the shortage fee. This shortage fee is charged when a seller sends incorrect items over to Amazon’s warehouse. There are also fees for late deliveries, mislabeled boxes, and chargeback fees, which can all add up to billions.

According to John’s estimate, Amazon pockets around $6 billion a year just from these. That is how he came to the idea that this niche is something people like you can profit from.

Who is John Collins?

Recovery Rush Review - Recovery Rush creator

John Collins used to be a private label seller on Amazon. He also used to be a consultant for a number of big brands on Amazon, under his own agency named The Naked Amazon Agency.

He claims that you can make a lot of money using his own methods, and in the process, build your very own Amazon agency.

Well, other than that, it seems like this program is his main source of income right now, meaning that the reason why he is pushing this program so much is because he needs people to sign up.

Also, what confuses me is that John praises this opportunity as something worth getting into, when the truth is you will barely make any money here.

In fact, the reason why I don’t think this can work for you is stated in one of the sections below.

How Does Recovery Rush Work?

John says that the true way to make money in Amazon is by using his methods. Basically, you wouldn’t need to be an Amazon seller.

Take note that being an Amazon seller comes with a lot of risks, as you need to invest money in inventory, create your own brand from scratch, and hire a team of people to help you with the tedious daily tasks.

Also, selling on Amazon is not that profitable anyway, as the market is already very saturated. Entering the fray as a newbie will bring about more cons than pros, to be honest.

What John’s team does is they will be providing you with the brands that need help, run all the audits, and file disputes to recover the money.

Your role would be on the client service part, which includes directly communicating with the client and business development efforts. Your main responsibility involves closing deals, and trust me, that is not easy at all.

Well, what you will be doing are the tasks that John’s team does not want to deal with.

Recovery Rush Cost

Before you get too excited with the business opportunity, you have to take note that getting into John’s team is not free at all. And it isn’t cheap, either.

The cost of joining the program is not blatantly stated on the site, but the reason why is actually pretty simple to figure out. It is way too high.

The reason why they do not post it publicly is because they want you to go through a call with a sales representative which is trained in persuading people to sign up for the opportunity.

Expect the cost to be more than $5,000. This is just to access the tools you need to use, the training, and the support.

That is a pretty ridiculous amount of money, which is why you definitely need a lot of convincing before you sign up. Those reps you will be talking to are definitely trained to be relentless, so I’d like to warn you in advance.

How Much Can You Make in Recovery Rush?

Let’s say that you have absolutely no problem with paying John thousands of dollars so that you can start making money.

You must be thinking that the price you paid for is worth it, as you will be making it back anyway. After all, they wouldn’t really charge you that much if the commissions you earn are very little, right?

Well, looks like I am wrong.

Do not expect to make money in here. Even though you score some deals with juicy commissions, you are required to give 75% of it to John.

Yes, you read that right. 75% of it goes to John, leaving you with a mere 25%. That means that if you score a commission of $1,000, you only take home $250.

That sounds ridiculous and unfair. You do all that work, and you only take 1/4 of the commissions.

Basically, you will be doing tasks that John doesn’t want to do, but you are paying him for it. What a bad deal.

Is Recovery Rush Legit?

Honestly, I am on the fence here. Yes, you really will get into the program by paying money, but there is no guarantee that there is money to be made in here.

This means that Recovery Rush is not a scam. You can make money, but it is not guaranteed.

It all depends on your performance, really. If you do well, then expect to get paid. If not, then you don’t get anything. Unlike a real job, this opportunity is pretty unstable.

There are probably more times that you will be left not doing anything than days where you actually deal with clients. Let’s also count the possibilities that they may reject your services.

For an investment that cost you thousands, you are at least expecting that you will make same money, or at least get your investment back. But no, you cannot do that here.

Another thing I noticed is that in a targeted ad I have seen, John just copied some lines from another guru. Yeah, that does not sit well with me, as plagiarism is stealing.

Do you think you can trust someone who cannot even write their own advertisement? Well, I don’t. And you shouldn’t, too.

Recovery Rush is legit, but it is not an opportunity that is fair to you.

Why I Don’t Recommend Recovery Rush

There is one glaring reason why I don’t recommend this opportunity – You cannot make money here. Let me reiterate the reasons why.

First off, they are asking you for an initial investment of thousands of dollars. Sure, if you have money to invest, then I think it would be easier to persuade you to do so.

However, if you look at their website closely, they actually have an earnings disclosure where they state that they do not guarantee that you can make money here. What a bummer.

Imagine using your savings to invest in this, but there is no guarantee that you will ever see that money again. Talk about blatantly ripping people off.

The thing that turned me off completely is the fact that John requires you to give 75% of your earnings to him. Excuse me, what? He wants you to invest thousands of dollars, then he wants to get 75% of your income.

That sounds illegal, if you look at it. They always say that you need to spend money to make money, but in here, all you do is spend money.

What confuses me is that you are paying someone to work for them. That does not make any sense at all, and it sounds like a job scam.

Another concern of mine is that why doesn’t John just hire people properly to do these tasks for him? Well, I think you already know the answer to that.

It’s because if he legitimately hired workers, he cannot simply give them these ridiculous terms. No person in their right mind would agree to it. Imagine getting hired to a job, but you need to pay your employer first. Makes zero sense, right?

You cannot make money here, so I suggest you do not invest your savings in it. There are better opportunities elsewhere.

Final Verdict – Recovery Rush

Before I end this Recovery Rush review, I would like to share a few more insights that could help you.

When it comes to side hustles, it is good to pick opportunities which you can easily do while focusing on a full-time job. This means that you can make extra cash without needing to worry about which tasks to prioritize.

I think this is what attracted you to Recovery Rush in the first place. Sure, this opportunity promises that you can make money and not have to do every task yourself, but just look at the mess.

You are required to invest money in something with no guarantee of return. I think investing in the stock market is better, because even though that is also a gamble, at least you get something.

Here, your fate lies in John’s hands. You also need to give him majority of your earnings, which is pretty unfair. You will be working as a part of his team, so you are basically paying someone to give you a job.

Do you know what that sounds like? Well, if you are familiar with multi-level marketing companies (MLMs), then you already know that that is exactly how this type of opportunity works.

You pay someone to let you work for them, and you have to keep paying them to continue. It is a pretty toxic cycle, really. And the catch? You are not guaranteed any profits despite of your efforts.

If you are looking for a side hustle which does not require you to pay thousands of dollars just to start, then I know of a great opportunity for you. You need not learn some complicated skills, either. The details for this are in the next section.
