Seacret MLM Review: Pyramid Scheme or Scam?

Seacret MLM Review: Pyramid Scheme or Scam?

Today we will be reviewing a company called Seacret. Is Seacret a pyramid scheme or scam? Find out in this Seacret MLM review.

You probably never heard of Seacret before, until one day, someone from social media messaged you about it.

They are trying to pitch a “great opportunity” to you, even though you tried your best to ignore their message.

This person could be a family member, friend, or even stranger that is desperate to take your money just to peddle their wares.

Anyway, your gut is definitely telling you the right thing when it comes to ignoring these MLM scripts full of emojis. Ignoring them does not mean that they will stop though.

You will be surprised by how many people these hunbots bother in a daily basis.

To clarify, I am not affiliated with Seacret in any way.

Before you decide if you want this so-called opportunity that Seacret is advertising, then I suggest that you learn these two terms first: MLM and pyramid scheme.

MLMs have products to sell, pyramid schemes do not. Both rely heavily on recruiting, though.

If you haven’t heard of Seacret before, then you are in luck because this is an in-depth review about the company, the opportunity they present, and their products.

In this Seacret MLM review, I will be providing information about the company, its products, and how you can make money with it.

Hopefully this Seacret MLM review can help you decide whether you want to sign up for the company or not.

What is Seacret?

Saecret is a multi-level marketing company that sells personal care and wellness products.

The company was founded in 2001 by Ben Shabat. They focus on primarily on skin care and nutritional supplements.

It is impressive how a company like this is still around after almost two decades.

The normal lifespan of MLMs are only 1 to 3 years.

Seacret MLM Review - Seacret products

Just like other MLM companies, Seacret advertises an opportunity where you can make money equal to what jobs salaries are.

You can watch this video below to learn more about Seacret and the opportunity they advertise.

The company is currently based in Arizona, United States.

How Do MLMs Work?

Before we continue with the review. I think I should discuss the basics of how MLMs work and operate.

In this section, I can elaborate on some frequently asked questions about MLMs.

MLM companies are just like regular companies that sells products.

The only difference is that MLMs rely on the investors (in this case, you) to sell and market the products for them. This is why we rarely hear about MLMs – they rely on the members to do the advertising for them.

That aside, I think you now have a brief understanding that MLMs do not really mean what they say about you being your own boss. The company still has a CEO, board of directors, etc.

You are working for them, but you are getting paid less compared to getting a job at a normal company.

Why is that the case here?

Simple. Instead of paying you a salary, they pay you commissions for products you sell. However, all your other efforts are not compensated.

Let’s say that you managed to profit $5 from a bar of soap you successfully sold.

The $5, if you computed properly, is surely not enough to compensate all you did to sell the product – from marketing, advertising, and travel expenses.

It is a pretty scummy system that people continue to fall for because MLMs promise a high return for your investments.

If you want your money to grow, why not invest in lead generation instead of an MLM?

Is Seacret a Pyramid Scheme?

Since Seacret members earn money both by selling services and recruiting new members, then it is safe to say that Seacret is not a pyramid scheme.

However, even if that is the case, the company is still emphasizing recruiting more than selling, making themselves look like pyramid schemes even if they are not.

Pyramid scheme vs Multi-level marketing

Like Oriflame, Youngevity, and Melaleuca, Seacret is not a pyramid scheme.

Is Seacret a Scam?

No, Seacret is not a scam. However, even if this is the case, Seacret has some information that they may be hiding from you. You can find out more about those by watching this video.

I suggest that you search and watch videos like this before joining an MLM. You need to learn about insights from others, since most of the information presented to you by these MLMs are all biased towards them.

How to Make Money from Seacret

There are only two ways you can do to make money from Seacret, and they are:

  1. Selling products
  2. Recruiting members

Recruiting members is necessary if you are aiming to rank up. Also, you cannot really earn much just by selling products. You can earn more by the commissions you can earn from recruiting.

How Does Seacret Work?

Just like other MLMs, Seacret relies on you, the member to sell and market their products. The process is pretty simple.

Seacret conceptualizes and manufactures said products.

The next steps in the process fall in your hands as a member of the MLM. You will be primarily responsible for getting Seacret’s name out there by marketing their products.

You are also in charge of selling the products, and you will be paid commission by the company for every product you sell.

Seacret saves a lot of money from advertising because they do not hire people to do it for them.

The responsibility falls on you as the member.

To join Seacret, you must pay a fee of $49. This is also an annual fee so you need to pay this yearly.

You can also pay extra for this 5-in-5 Agent Launch Kit.

Seacret Products

Seacret’s products can be divided in three categories:

  • Skincare products
  • Bath & body products
  • Nutrition products

Things I Like in Seacret

Established Company

It is quite impressive for a company to be able to remain standing despite being in the business for two decades. Most MLMs die as early as a year.

This means that Seacret can keep up with all the competition. However, do not make this your one and only basis of joining the company.

Positive Product Reviews

It looks like Seacret’s products have garnered a lot of positive feedback as well. Here are some of them.

Things I Dislike in Seacret

Recruit, Recruit, Recruit

This is the thing I hate most about MLMs. MLMs like Seacret explains this aspect as if all people will be dying to be part of their company as long as you push them hard enough.

Well, no. Not all people are willing to be part of a business that greatly resembles a pyramid scheme. Also, not everyone wants to sell products like these.

Even though Seacret denies that they are a pyramid scheme, it looks like only those at the top of the ranks seem to make money. Sounds familiar?

That is also what happens in pyramid schemes.

Buy, Buy, Buy

Recruiting is just one of the annoying things you will face in this company. There is also this one.

To be able to maintain your active status and continue selling Seacret products, you have to keep buying them.

Now, read that sentence again and tell me if that makes any sense to you. To me, it does not.

I am 100% sure that this is how MLMs make their profit. They make it mandatory for you to make purchases every month. If you stop, then you cannot sell the products.

They do not seem to care what you do about the products, either. They have no care whether you can sell them or not as long as you have already given them the money.

Lots of Competition

Skincare brands

Ever wonder why people are not able to recruit as many people as these MLMs usually project? Well, this is the number one reason.

No one would want to be part of a company that is not standing out compared to its competitors. Who even knows Seacret exists?

You can keep messaging your friends and telling them about Seacret but the reality is that they will not choose Seacret compared to the other more well-known brands in the market.

Also, who would want to buy products from a total stranger when online shopping is now the norm? You can get almost anything straight from the online stores of many reputable brands.

Very Low Income Potential

Seacret does not really release a proper income disclosure statement, so this is all I could find.

This contains only a small amount of data and it says that the average income of an active Seacret agent in 2019 is $1,201.

They did not really satisfy what ranks this data includes, so I will assume that $1,201 is the average annual income of all Seacret agents.

I mean, if there are people earning less than $100 and some percentage (preferably those in the high ranks) earning $20,000, then this is meant to be average.

Also, even though a lot of people did make that amount of money, it is still way too small considering that this is annual income, not monthly income.

Imagine exerting all that effort for something you believe in and ending up getting this measly amount as compensation. It looks like this company is not worth the time and effort at all.

Seacret Compensation Plan

You can view and access Seacret’s compensation plan by clicking this link.

As you can see, this is quite a long document so we could not possibly discuss it point by point in this review. I am not so sure that I can relay it to you properly either as I am not even a part of the company.

I suggest you watch this video instead so you can understand the compensation plan.

Final Verdict – Seacret

Let me share a few thoughts with you before I end this Seacret MLM review.

No matter what type of products MLMs sell, they are all the same.

All they want is to suck your savings account an credit card dry, and for you to depend on them just to get some measly compensation for all your efforts.

This is exploitation, in a away. You work for them but they do not intend to pay you properly.

They hostage your money and investment if you are not able to pay up what they require every month.

Do you really want to join a company that does not care about you?

Also, if you join Seacret, who will you even sell the products to?

Not everyone wants to buy MLM products because of how bad their reputations are.

With these thoughts in mind, I am sure that you can make your decision.

That’s it for my Seacret MLM review. Hopefully this Seacret MLM review helps with your decision.

I do not recommend MLMs. but if you want to make money online, you should check out my #1 recommendation to making money online after reviewing 300+ MLM companies.
