Today we will be reviewing a company called Thirty One Gifts. Is Thirty One Gifts a pyramid scheme or scam? Find out in this Thirty One Gifts MLM review.
The main reason why you are here today is most likely because someone told you about this company.
Chances are, you never heard of Thirty One Gifts until someone told you about it.
Unsurprisingly, MLMs have forcefully made their way to social media sites that all of us use nowadays.
It isn’t surprising to have friends in social media message us about “great opportunities to make money”.
I am pretty sure that I am not the only one who had friends like this, right?
I unfriended them the second I receive a standard copy-and-paste MLM script from them.
Before we proceed with this Thirty One Gifts MLM review, I will have to define two terms first, since they will be constantly be appearing in this review: MLM and pyramid scheme.
A pyramid scheme is a business model that earns money by recruiting members to invest in it.
It is called a pyramid scheme because the higher you are in the pyramid, the more money you earn.
This means that those in the very bottom suffer financial losses for the success of those at the top.
An MLM is a business model resembling a pyramid scheme.
It employs the same technique of recruiting members, but it is legal unlike a pyramid scheme.
I would like to clarify that I am in no way affiliated with Thirty One Gifts.
Hopefully this Thirty One Gifts MLM review can help you decide whether you want to sign up for the company or not.

What is Thirty One Gifts?
Thirty One Gifts is a multi-level marketing company that sells women’s apparel and accessories.

The company was founded on 2003 by Cindy Monroe.
It is a pretty impressive feat for the company to remain in business after this long.
Most MLMs rarely see three years.
This must mean that the company is still making profit.
I guess the management of this company is doing a good job of keeping the business afloat.
You can learn more about Thirty One Gifts by watching this video.
As you can see, it is a sales video made by the company, so the information is one-sided.
Do not be swayed easily by tempting videos like this.
Just like a typical MLM, Thirty One Gifts advertises an affiliate program where you can earn money by selling the company’s products.
Of course, signing up for this is not free.
Aside from the fee, you will have to pay for an initial order before you can start selling products.
Yes, you heard it correctly.
You will need to pay money first before you can start making a profit with this company.
The company is currently based in Ohio, United States.
How Do MLMs Work?
Welcome to the section where we take a break from the company we are reviewing to talk about MLMs in general.
Today, let us talk about how MLMs make money.
Do not forget that MLMs are businesses.
Sure, they might say that by signing up for them, you are building your own business.
That is partly true, but you signing up for them gives them more benefits than you.
Remember that you will only get paid based on the value of how many products you sell.
This means that your efforts that resulted in the sales are not paid at all.
Yep, that’s right.
All those sleepless nights, Facebook live streams, and bugging people in social media?
All those work is not compensated whatsoever.
If your hard work resulted in a low number of sales, then well, tough luck.
Are you expecting that an MLM company will reward you for your efforts?
Well, they don’t.
This is because they do not care at all.
All they care about is the money you bring to the company, and how many members you manage to recruit.
Working hard does not reward you with ranking up.
If you want to rank up, you would have to build your downline by constantly recruiting new members.
Still not convinced that you shouldn’t join an MLM?
Watch this video and see for yourself why I do not recommend MLMs at all.
Is Thirty One Gifts a Pyramid Scheme?
Since Thirty One Gifts members earn money both by selling services and recruiting new members, then it is safe to say that Thirty One Gifts is not a pyramid scheme.
However, even if that is the case, remember that this is an MLM, so you will definitely earn more by recruiting members than making sales.
This makes Thirty One Gifts look like a pyramid scheme in disguise.

Like Infinitus, VeloVita, and NutriCellix, Thirty One Gifts is not a pyramid scheme.
Is Thirty One Gifts a Scam?
No, Thirty One Gifts is not a scam.
Even though the company is not a scam, that should not be enough basis for you to sign up for the company.
However, if you are planning to join the company, I recommend watching this video first.

This video will tell you a lot of information that Thirty One Gifts could be hiding from you.
With that out of the way, doing your research is an important step you must do before deciding to join an MLM.
You will definitely stumble across information that the company refuses to share with you.
Another good source of information to look for are testimonials from ex-members.
These people used to be affiliated with the company, so they know how the company operates.
Other than that, they have firsthand information about how the company treats their members.
How to Make Money from Thirty One Gifts
Since Thirty One Gifts is an MLM, there are only two major ways to make money with the company. and these are:
- Selling products
- Recruiting members
To be able to reap benefits from the company, you will need to keep recruiting new people to join.
You need to build a downline of people who will constantly order products.
The most hardworking people, or rather, the ones who manage to recruit a lot of people constantly are the ones favored by the company.
Basically, they do not care about you even if you make a lot of sales.
What they care about is how many people you bring in to make money for them.
You will also be getting commissions from the sales of your downline, so that is passive income.

If you have a vast network of people and have skills in networking, then this venture is perfect for you.

Things I Like in Thirty One Gifts
Established Company
Thirty One Gifts has been in business so 2003, and the fact that they are still one of the top-earning MLMs means that they are definitely doing something right.
Most MLMs only last for three years or less, with three years being lucky.
I guess this makes Thirty One Gifts a reliable MLM to invest in.
Focus on Retail Sales
This is pretty rare in MLMs.
Most MLMs operate like a pyramid scheme, so this is definitely new to me.
Retail sales are reward pretty nicely in Thirty One Gifts, and is encouraged.
Things I Dislike in Thirty One Gifts
Very Low Income Potential
This is the case with Thirty One Gifts.
It may be tempting to join an MLM, but once you see the income disclosure statement, you would want to run for the hills.
In 2019, this is how much consultants earned:
- 23.9% of Consultants earned less than $1;
- 20.7% of Consultants earned between $1 and $99; and
- 42.8% of Consultants earned between $100 and $999.
Now, let us talk about those numbers.
Those numbers are pretty ridiculous.
The fact that no one earned more than $1,000 in one year as a consultant scares me.
These earnings are far less than how much minimum wage is.
In what universe do you think can you survive with those earnings?
Saturated Market
Well, every store that sells bags and clothes carry the same products as Thirty One Gifts.
How many brands do you think out there are more relevant than this MLM?
Also, those stores are easily accessible since there are a lot of boutiques in malls, shopping centers, and online.
Do you think people would choose you over something they could purchase more easily?
People tend to choose brands that are more recognized, despite how low your prices are.
It’s an MLM
You have to keep recruiting to make a profit.
This is also highly encouraged so prepare to be a hunbot in social media.
This is not sustainable because you will run out of people to recruit eventually.
Also, those people you will be recruiting will also be your competitors.
It does more harm than benefit to you, to be honest.

Final Verdict – Thirty One Gifts
Before I end this Thirty One Gifts MLM review, I have a few more insights I would like to share with you.
Remember that this company may want you to join a community of like-minded people.
They pull you in, but as soon as they know that you are not willing to spend a lot of money, prepare to be alienated.
This is how MLMs get their members.
They target the vulnerable, like single mothers.
Ever wondered why a large demographic of MLM members are stay-at-home moms?
This is because these people seek a community that is willing to accept them, and have similar backgrounds and experiences as them.
What MLMs do is they pull them in with promises.
When the member realizes that all they could get from the company is financial loss, the MLMs starts to drop them.
They would only do that once they get the money already.
Isn’t that just scummy?
I do not recommend MLMs because of this.
That’s it for my Thirty One Gifts MLM review. Hopefully this Thirty One Gifts MLM review helps with your decision.
