Today we will be reviewing a company called Tocara. Is Tocara a scam? Find out in this Tocara Review.
If you have not heard about this company before, then I am not surprised. After all, I know what brought you here today. Some hunbot from social media reached out to you and promised you that you will be earning more money by joining this company and quitting your current job.
You pondered for a while, because you feel like you are being underpaid in your current job. You want an opportunity to be the one in charge of your life for once. To be fair, I totally understand your sentiments.
However, you still managed to question the legitimacy of this so-called opportunity, and decided to not trust that hunbot straight away. That means that even if you want to try this out, you are still being cautious because after all, they are still a stranger.
I hope that as you read this Tocara review, you will be gaining insights about how an MLM runs, why they are so aggressive with recruiting, and how much you can really earn if you join it. Sit back, relax, and let me do the talking.
MLM members make money by selling products and recruiting new members. In pyramid schemes, members could only make money by recruiting people. Pyramid schemes are illegal and banned by the FTC.
As a disclaimer, I am not affiliated with Tocara in any way.
Hopefully this Tocara review can help you decide whether you want to sign up for the company or not.

What is Tocara?
Tocara is a multi-level marketing company that sells jewelry. The variations available are gold, stainless steel, and sterling silver. The product selection is targeted towards women, but they also have some products available for men as well. Tocara’s tagline is “Live your style. Love your life”.
The jewelry being sold are made with high-quality craftsmanship. They strive to create pieces that are trendy, functional, and timeless. Of course, they emphasize quality as well.
Randall Markus founded Tocara in 2008. He is also the current CEO. Markus has a career in the jewelry industry that has lasted years. He is also directly involved in design and marketing for Tocara’s products. He works alongside his designer Nathalie Begin in designing jewelry in the company’s very own studio in Canada.
In 1979, Markus founded Bijou Chateau Jewelry, a manufacturing company that supplies North America’s jewelry stores, department stores, retailers, and other direct-selling businesses.
Before Markus founded Tocara, he was a part of Avon. From there, he learned about direct sales, which inspired him to launch his own company.
How Do MLMs Work?
Welcome to the section where I will be sharing insider information about MLMs in general. In this section, we take a short break from talking about the current MLM we are reviewing. This section will contain information that can be found easily online, yet MLMs refuse to properly talk about them.
If you want to get all the possible knowledge I will be sharing, then I suggest that you do not skip this section. Bear in mind that my intentions are purely in your benefit, as I know that an MLM is definitely not the way to success.
Before we discuss MLMs further, let me point out my opinions first. I think that these companies are the worst. They are good at lying, manipulating people, and guilt-tripping. It is like an abusive relationship.
You may thinking that I sound so harsh, but trust me, my opinions and claims are well-substantiated. A lot more substantiated than claims made by MLMs, sadly.
I guess that just by knowing that, you are probably thinking to yourself that they could not possibly get any worse, right? Well, I would love to comfort you on that, but trust me, this is just like the first stage of how bad they really are.
These companies have the audacity to tell their members to quit their stable-paying jobs just so they can dedicate their time, effort, and resources to the MLM. Talk about manipulative.
MLMs are more of side hustles than full-time jobs, and the fact that these MLMs want more people to join them means that they will stop at nothing to get profit. They do not care how many lives they ruin just so they can get money. It’s scummy and unacceptable.
Is Tocara a Pyramid Scheme?
Since Tocara members earn money both by selling services and recruiting new members, then it is safe to say that Tocara is not a pyramid scheme.
However, since Tocara is still an MLM, do not expect to make money if you have no plans on recruiting people. Recruiting will earn you significantly more money than actual product selling, and is more encouraged.
This just makes Tocara look like a pyramid scheme in disguise, doesn’t it?
Is Tocara a Scam?
No, Tocara is not a scam.
However, if you think this is enough for you to jump in Tocara’s so-called opportunity straight away, then I suggest that you hold your horses. This is just the most basic thing, so don’t go signing up for this company right away.
Before making your decision, I suggest that you do a thorough research on the MLM first. You can consult some of the sources I listed below. Take note that you can definitely consult any source you want to, but the sources I listed below are the best kinds to consult, for various reasons listed.
What Sources Should You Look For?
There are three kinds of sources that you can consult when it comes to researching MLMs. There are other kinds of sources, but I believe that these three sources will be of the most help to you.
This Tocara review is actually the best source you can find online. It is an example of a third-party review, because as the name states, it is published by a third-party entity. Review websites like this are not in any way affiliated with MLMs, which means that the information they publish are impartial.
Also, take note that third-party reviews get their information only from trusted sources. These reviews take time to make as they need to be researched and fact-checked. This is because they strive to be the top source for MLM reviews online, so they have to do their part.
If you are looking for a way to get in touch with people who have knowledge about MLMs, then I suggest that you check out online forums. Most forums I found online are pretty active, so I suggest checking them out.
If you have specific concerns that are not covered by third-party reviews, then forums would be the best place to check out. Forum members are more than eager to help you out by answering your questions, addressing your concerns, and further educating you about MLMs.BONUS: Let's Make Realistic $1000/Month Passive Income This Afternoon,Yes TODAY!(FREE Guide For Smart People)>>
How to Make Money from Tocara
Since Tocara is an MLM, there are only two ways to make money with the company. and these are:
- Selling products
- Recruiting members
Making money in Tocara is easier said than done. Sure, there are only two ways to make money with the company, but both methods require a lot of hard work, patience, and perseverance. To be honest, working for an MLM is a lot tougher than working a regular job.
In a regular job, you can expect a salary every week or every two weeks. You can expect the same amount every payday, basically. In an MLM, there are times where you do not even get paid.
Yes, you heard that right. Do not expect that you will get paid weekly here. Your time and efforts are not compensated, so even if you work hard, that will not be recognized.
You will only be compensated by your efforts if you manage to reach the high ranks.
Remember that the MLM business model is not sustainable, so as time goes by, you will run out of people to recruit.
MLMs do not really care about how many products you sell. What they care about is how many you buy and how many people you can bring in.
How Much Can You Make?
Well, it looks like Tocara is one of the companies out there who refuse to share an income disclosure statement online. I even had to scour forums just to look for it, to no avail. It seems like they have not released one ever.
This comes as no surprise to me though. After reviewing hundreds of MLMs, I have learned that no release an income disclosure statement is quite a common practice for them. MLMs are not really obligated to share this with their members, but isn’t that just the right thing to do?
For a company that boasts quality products and big payouts, shouldn’t they be more transparent about the money you can make by signing up? After all, isn’t the main reason why they got in touch with you is because they need you?
Well, that may be the case, but I do not think that we will see any changes to this anytime soon. Sure, they can be very persuasive, but it is only a matter of time until people find out what they really want.
Judging from how most people who join MLMs do not make money, then I guess this company is no exception. I guess telling people that they cannot money will definitely scare them off, which explains why they hide it instead.
Things I Like in Tocara
Well, Tocara was founded in 2008, which means that they have been in the business for over a decade now. That is pretty impressive, considering how most MLMs do not even see three years in the market. They are also a member of the Direct Selling Association, which I guess helps with proving their legitimacy.
Despite of how competitive the market for jewelry is, Tocara strives to be recognized for their high-quality products.
Things I Dislike in Tocara
Like I said previously, there is a lot of competition going on in the market for jewelry. We have jewelry stores in malls and other establishments, pawnshops, and small businesses. These stores compete for customers and all sell different varieties of products. It is pretty hard to pick what you would want, really.
This does not help Tocara because they are an MLM, which makes them pretty obscure and not readily available. To be honest, if I want jewelry, I will just go to a store and buy from there. I would not think about finding an MLM that can sell me one.
Recruit, Recruit, Recruit
This is the bread and butter of every MLM. They also not tell their members this the first time because all they promise them is that they can be successful just by selling products.
Well, a lot of bonuses and benefits are exclusive only to those who recruit people. They are also getting a lot more commissions than those who don’t. In summary, recruiting is more incentivized than actual product selling here.
It is an MLM
This is an MLM, so it means that a lot of people definitely failed in this venture. In fact, 99% of people who join MLMs fail to make money, and they do not even earn back their initial investment.
Tocara Compensation Plan
Here are the ways with which you can make money in Tocara.
- Retail Commissions. You can earn 25% to 40% commission for every product you sell.
- Discounts. You are eligible to get 50% discount on Tocara products during your first 70 days in the company. This is to encourage you to try the products out.
- Fast Start Program. Once you achieve personal sales and recruitment milestones in your first 70 days, you can earn thousands worth of jewelry coupons.
