Truvy Review: Is this Health MLM a Scam?

Truvy Review: Is this Health MLM a Scam?

Today we will be reviewing a company called Truvy. Is Truvy a scam? Find out in this Truvy review.

If you are someone is health-conscious and loves fitness, then I am sure that even you haven’t heard of Truvy before. To be honest, it would be even more shocking if you said that you know them even before the hunbot who brought you here even made contact with you. They aren’t exactly a company that is easy to find.

If you didn’t know already, Truvy is an MLM. This means that they don’t really advertise or market as much as what more famous brands do. This explains why you wouldn’t hear of them, unless someone from the company has made contact with you. That is how their business model works.

Maybe you are thinking that those people who are working hard to make this company known makes good money. Let me tell you this fact about Truvy right now: they don’t make that much money. In fact, hardly anyone makes any money here at all. You will understand why as you continue reading this Truvy review.

Before we go further in this Truvy review, I will define two terms first: MLM and pyramid scheme.

MLM members make money by selling products and recruiting new members. In pyramid schemes, members could only make money by recruiting people. Pyramid schemes are illegal and banned by the FTC.

As a disclaimer, I am not affiliated with Truvy in any way.

Hopefully this Truvy review can help you decide whether you want to sign up for the company or not.

What is Truvy?

Truvy Review - Truvy products

Truvy is a multi-level marketing company in the health and wellness niche. The company was established by Travis Martin, Shawn Gibson, and Derek Bailey in 2014.

Not a lot of information about Truvy is available online, but from the minimum amount of information I found, the founders are all entrepreneurs.

Truvy mainly sells weight-loss products. Their goal is to help people live healthy and productive lives with the assistance of their products.

The company used to be named TruVision Health, but they have recently changed their name to Truvy.

How Do MLMs Work?

Welcome to the section where we freely discuss where we talk about MLMs in general. Here, we take a short break from the current MLM we are reviewing. I will be discussing my stance on why MLMs are the worst, and why I think you should never sign up for one.

Today, let us talk about how badly MLMs behave, and let’s focus on how great they are at fabricating lies just to get money from people.

Let’s start the discussion by how MLMs deceive people into signing up for them.

To be honest, I understand the struggle of not being able to make ends meet. I have been unemployed for quite a while, and finding work became increasingly difficult because of the competition and the current state of the world. My quest for job-hunting had a lot of ups and downs, which included MLM hunbots reaching out to me, promising a “great opportunity” which I could do from the comfort of my home.

Now, I am pretty sure that this interaction was not a unique one. In fact, I am but one of the people whom these hunbots sent a message to. However, I am not really that gullible to trust them by their word alone.

However, bear in mind that there are quite a lot people who didn’t know better. They use up their savings to start their MLM business, not make any money, get in debt just trying to stay afloat, and end up in a worse situation than they were before.

I am sure that these false promises have affected quite a lot of people, and the reason why I review MLMs in the first place is to reduce the number of their potential victims.

Is Truvy a Pyramid Scheme?

Since Truvy members earn money both by selling services and recruiting new members, then it is safe to say that Truvy is not a pyramid scheme.

However, since Truvy is still an MLM, do not expect to make money if you have no plans on recruiting people. Recruiting will earn you significantly more money than actual product selling, and is more encouraged.

This just makes Truvy look like a pyramid scheme in disguise, doesn’t it?

Pyramid scheme vs Multi-level marketing

Like Liv International, LurraLife, and Herbalife, Truvy is not a pyramid scheme.

Is Truvy a Scam?

No, Truvy is not a scam.

However, if you think this is enough for you to jump in Truvy’s so-called opportunity straight away, then I suggest that you hold your horses. This is just the most basic thing, so don’t go signing up for this company right away.

Before making your decision, I suggest that you do a thorough research on the MLM first. You can consult some of the sources I listed below. Take note that you can definitely consult any source you want to, but the sources I listed below are the best kinds to consult, for various reasons listed.

What Sources Should You Look For?

There are three kinds of sources that you can consult when it comes to researching MLMs. There are other kinds of sources, but I believe that these three sources will be of the most help to you.

What I could recommend the most when doing research are sources that discuss in-depth the topic at hand. In this situation, the best sources you can look for are third-party reviews, like this Truvy review that you are reading right now. These sources discuss quite a lot of stuff about the MLMs in question: from basic information, how you can get paid, and how much you can make.

Another good source to find are online forums that actively discuss MLMs. With a quick online search, you can easily find forums that are quite active in discussing in MLMs. Most of these forums have quite a lot of members who are willing to be interacted with. You can get valuable insight from these people.

If you would like to look for sources that are from people with first-hand experience on working with MLMs, then you will find ex-member testimonies useful. These people have worked with MLMs so I am sure that they could share valuable information that MLMs otherwise refuse to discuss openly.

How to Make Money from Truvy

Since Truvy is an MLM, there are only two ways to make money with the company. and these are:

  1. Selling products
  2. Recruiting members

These are only the basic ways with which you can get paid in Truvy. You have the option to increase your earnings by qualifying for various bonuses and benefits being offered by the company. However, as much as they try to downplay the work you need to do to qualify for these, do not be deceived.

In order to succeed in this MLM, you would need to build a downline. Making a downline is not an easy task, as it involves you to recruit people to sign up for Truvy. However, I am pretty sure that most people who would be interested in the company are merely customers who aren’t really looking to make money with the company.

If you think that you can make big bucks in this company just by selling products alone, then you are greatly mistaken. The key to success in Truvy is by earning commissions. Commissions can be earned by having an active downline.

Remember that the MLM business model is not sustainable, so as time goes by, you will run out of people to recruit.

MLMs do not really care about how many products you sell. What they care about is how many you buy and how many people you can bring in.

How Much Can You Make?

Truvy does not publish an income disclosure statement. Well, looks like we don’t have enough data to work with which could tell us how much people really earn in this company.

However, we can do some deducing which could help us speculate as to the money that people earn in this company. For one, Truvy doesn’t really seem different from other health and wellness MLMs. Most of the health and wellness companies that I have reviewed in the past do not publish an income disclosure statement, either.

This just means that these MLMs are hiding vital information from the public. This is unsurprising, because most of those who sign up for them do not bother looking for it. Besides, if they do decide to publish one, it would just make their company look bad.

The reason why MLMs do this is because they are ashamed. The data never lies. Once they tell people that they are not assured any earnings, of course the potential members will immediately bail.

Why would Truvy hide this information if what they said is true about “achieving success with the company”? Simple. They lied and don’t want to expose themselves.

Things I Like in Truvy

Well, I have seen enough to weigh the pros and cons of Truvy, and sadly, I just cannot find anything positive that I could discuss. I guess we should focus on all the negatives instead.

Things I Dislike in Truvy

Expensive Products

If you want to check the prices of Truvy’s products, then I suggest scrolling up a bit to that section. It comes as no surprise to me that Truvy priced their products just as much as luxury brands do. They do see themselves as a “premium” brand, as if that makes sense.

What I don’t get is why they would do it when they are well-aware of how obscure they are. If you make people choose between a well-known, non-MLM brand and Truvy, then I am pretty sure that they would not choose Truvy. Most well-known brands know how to price their products reasonably in order to cater to people of all pay grades.

Bear in mind that people want value for their money. They want something that works for a reasonable price.

Saturated Market

Truvy is one out of many of the health and wellness MLMs that I have reviewed. That alone should already tell you about the vast number of companies in this niche. I won’t blame them though, since this niche is pretty profitable. A lot of people want to stay fit and healthy while keeping busy with their daily lives.

From the endless choices to choose from, I doubt that anyone would pick Truvy. Aside from being quite new to the market, Truvy is an MLM, which means that people are less excited on supporting due to their bad reputation. Also, Truvy makes no effort to stand out from the tough competition.

It is an MLM

This is an MLM, so it means that a lot of people definitely failed in this venture. In fact, 99% of people who join MLMs fail to make money, and they do not even earn back their initial investment.

Final Verdict – Truvy

Before I end this Truvy review, I would like to share a few more insights that could help you.

You have now reached the end of this Truvy review. However, I would like to ask you to stay for a bit longer as I will impart a few more valuable tips which could assist you in making your decision.

I know that we currently live in a time where everything is pretty messed up. We are all still unsure whether we can return to how life was before pandemic started. We are all stressed, and we are all just hoping that this crisis will be resolved soon.

This is exactly why MLMs choose to strike now. I am sure that you have seen quite a lot more MLMs in social media during this time, which means that they are pretty active with recruiting members. I suggest that you do not get involved with them, as it will just stress you out even more.

For one, MLMs love targeting desperate people because these people are the ones who would take their word in face value. They wouldn’t bother researching because all they want is to make money in order to survive during this time. This is why MLMs target them – they could lie to their face but they still wouldn’t notice.

I am not blaming these people though. The MLMs are the ones at fault here for taking advantage of people who are just trying to survive. In summary, MLMs are pretty scummy and I don’t see them changing their ways pretty soon.

That’s it for my Truvy review. Hopefully this Truvy review helps with your decision.
