Today we will be reviewing a company called Unicity . Is Unicity a scam? Find out in this Unicity review.
Have you heard about this company before? I am sure you haven’t, either. Not until that hunbot got in touch with you recently. Actually, the only reason why you would even be aware that Unicity exists is when someone from the company gets in touch with you. It is an MLM, so this is how it works.
I guess the reason why you decided to research is because you got quite intrigued with the opportunity that they promised to you. I mean, who wouldn’t be tempted with an opportunity where you get to choose your own hours, run your own business, and get paid just from working at home? Sounds perfect, right?
Well, if something sounds too good to be true, then it probably isn’t. You shouldn’t really trust a stranger’s words, considering that you would need to put your money on the line here. As you continue reading this Unicty International review, you will learn more about the company and MLMs as well.
Before we go further in this Unicity review, I will define two terms first: MLM and pyramid scheme.
MLM members make money by selling products and recruiting new members. In pyramid schemes, members could only make money by recruiting people. Pyramid schemes are illegal and banned by the FTC.
As a disclaimer, I am not affiliated with Unicity in any way.
Hopefully this Unicity review can help you decide whether you want to sign up for the company or not.

Unicity is a multi-level marketing company that sells health and wellness products, primarily health supplements. The company itself is also the one responsible for formulating and developing their products. The old name of the company is Enrich International.
Unicity was founded in 2001, and is currently based in Utah, United States. The company has expanded quite a lot, and they now operate in around 20 countries. Rexall, a corporation composed of various American drugstores, and Unicity merged in 2006, and was bought by Stewart Hughes.

How Do MLMs Work?
This section is dedicated to talking about MLMs in general, so let’s take a break from talking about Unicity at the moment. Before we get into the topic at hand, let me reiterate that I think that MLMs are the worst, and that I do not recommend joining one.
I recommend that you do not skip this section as the advice I will impart is pretty valuable.
I have reviewed hundreds of MLMs in the past, so I am confident in my knowledge about them. From my observation, it seems like MLMs are pretty much the same. They operate the same way, with the only difference being the products they sell and how they brand them.
I am sure that what drew you to research MLMs is that you are curious about how their business opportunity works. I am pretty sure that all they told you about is that you will be running your own business, and that all you need to do to get started is to pay them money.
Technically, they did not lie to you. They just omitted quite a lot of important information from their explanation. Yes, you get to run your own business, but you are not as independent as they make it sound.
You need to follow strict monthly sales quotas, or you lose the rights to selling the products. Other than that, you also need to recruit people in order to “get promoted”. Yes, that hunbot who talked to you only wants you to join so that they can get bonuses.
What’s more, MLMs have quite the reputation from lying to their members and customers. From deliberately hiding information, making ridiculous claims about their products, and not paying their members properly, MLMs seem to have gotten away with all of it.
Is Unicity a Pyramid Scheme?
Since Unicity members earn money both by selling services and recruiting new members, then it is safe to say that Unicity is not a pyramid scheme.
However, since Unicity is still an MLM, do not expect to make money if you have no plans on recruiting people. Recruiting will earn you significantly more money than actual product selling, and is more encouraged.
This just makes Unicity look like a pyramid scheme in disguise, doesn’t it?

Like PM-International, Noonday Collection, and PartyLite, Unicity is not a pyramid scheme.
Is Unicity a Scam?
No, Unicity is not a scam.
However, if you think this is enough for you to jump in Unicity’s so-called opportunity straight away, then I suggest that you hold your horses. This is just the most basic thing, so don’t go signing up for this company right away.
Before making your decision, I suggest that you do a thorough research on the MLM first. You can consult some of the sources I listed below. Take note that you can definitely consult any source you want to, but the sources I listed below are the best kinds to consult, for various reasons listed.
What Sources Should You Look For?
There are three kinds of sources that you can consult when it comes to researching MLMs. There are other kinds of sources, but I believe that these three sources will be of the most help to you.
Congratulations, you actually found the best source already. This Unicity review is an example of a third-party review, which are published by those that are not connected to MLMs in any way. Basically, these reviews are published with only factual information in them. They do thorough research, and are also not afraid to publish the truth even if it is mostly negative information.
This means that third-party reviews are impartial and not biased. The information from these reviews are also fact-checked, so you can be assured that they only contain accurate information.
If you would like to learn more about MLMs and have questions left unanswered by third-party reviews, then I suggest visiting forums. You can easily find these forums with a quick internet search, and you will be surprised to know that the most active forums have hundreds of thousands of members.
They exchange information everyday and constantly update their threads too, so you can be assured that you get the most recent information with your every visit. The forum members are also easy to talk to, so feel free to ask them anything you would like to know.
How to Make Money from Unicity
Since Unicity is an MLM, there are two basic ways to make money with the company. and these are:
- Selling products
- Recruiting members
Take note that the methods mentioned above are only the basic ways with which you can make money in Unicity. There are various bonuses and benefits which you can avail that will drastically boost your income. You can learn more about these in the compensation plan section of this Unicity review.
However, being able to qualify for these benefits are a lot harder than what these companies let on. You have to recruit new members regularly, as most bonuses are only accessible to those who have a downline. To be honest, you will be spending more time recruiting than actually selling products.
This just beats the purpose of establishing your own business at the first place. However, recruiting will earn you more money than selling. This is because you get commissions from every purchase made by your recruited members. The more members you have under you, the better.
Remember that the MLM business model is not sustainable, so as time goes by, you will run out of people to recruit.
MLMs do not really care about how many products you sell. What they care about is how many you buy and how many people you can bring in.
Unicity Products

Unicity sells the following types of supplements:
- daily health
- immune system
- digestive health
- fitness
- weight management
- anti-aging
- bone and joint health
- heart health
- men’s health
- women’s health
How Much Can You Make?
Unicity is one of the few companies that releases an income disclosure statement. However, the latest one I was able to find was from 2015. You can read it here.
It seems like only 21% of the company made money for that year, which is a small percentage than what we expected from a company that advertises that it is a surefire way to make money. Also, half of those in the 21% made only $125.
Let’s take this into perspective. $125 earnings for a whole year is a big joke. It is way, way below minimum wage, and it is basically less than a dollar per day. I am sure that once you sign up for Unicity, you need to spare quite a few hours everyday to make this opportunity work, but are you willing to dedicate that time only to get this measly amount?
Take note that MLMs do not pay you any wages, too. This means that no matter how hard you work, you cannot really earn a steady income. Your earnings are all based on commissions, so if you do not make any sales, then tough luck.
It seems like only those at the very top actually make decent money here, unsurprisingly. And this MLM dares tell you that you are your own boss. Pray tell, what kind of boss does not make money?
Things I Like in Unicity
Established Company
Unicity has been around for quite some time. It was established in 2001, and merged with another company in 2006. I guess that merge actually paid off, because here they are today. They have also expanded their businesses to quite a lot of countries, which means that they had the funding.
From their years in business, Unicity was able to establish a loyal customer base who continues to stick around despite the new competition that they get every single year. They have also managed to outlive the average MLM lifespan of three years, which is quite impressive.
Things I Dislike in Unicity
Saturated Market
This company belongs in the health and wellness niche, along with most of the companies I reviewed in this website. You may be thinking that I have already reviewed most of the health and wellness MLMs in the market, but you are wrong. I barely scratched the surface.
This means that it is a pretty profitable niche. The biggest non-MLM companies in the world are also in this niche, which just proves it. Ever wondered why the most recognizable MLMs sell supplements and health products? Well, there you go.
These companies make money from repeat purchases. If you have to purchase supplements, of course you cannot purchase just one piece, right?
Expensive Products
Unsurprisingly, Unicity sells products at a more expensive price point than their non-MLM competitors. This is quite a problem, because Unicity is an MLM, making it obscure. They are not really doing themselves a favor by pricing their products this way.
People know how much things they always buy cost, and they are not willing to try out something more expensive, especially when it is just a rebranded version of the product they buy. Also, they would not trust a stranger from the internet who sells supplements.
It is an MLM
This is an MLM, so it means that a lot of people definitely failed in this venture. In fact, 99% of people who join MLMs fail to make money, and they do not even earn back their initial investment.

Final Verdict – Unicity
Before I end this Unicity review, I would like to share a few more insights that could help you.
Now that you have finished reading this Unicity review, I know that you now have answers to the questions you had before you came here. I am glad that I was able to share to you my knowledge and my research findings. Let me share a few more tips before you leave.
I guess that by now, you know that my opinion about MLMs are well-substantiated. I have presented you with proofs of how much money you can make in this Unicity review, and we both know that it is pretty disappointing. Besides, the way to make money here is not by selling the products, but by selling the opportunity to people.
If you are wondering why the products are priced the way they are, it is because they do not really expect people to buy them. The target market of Unicity’s products are the members itself. This is because members are the only ones willing to spend money for the products. Well, they are required to do so.
Remember what I said earlier about sales quotas? Well, that is what gets people in debt. They are forced to buy products that they cannot sell, and hope for the best. They could not sustain that for long though, and end up getting dropped from the company.
If you are looking for a better opportunity than an MLM, then look no further. Just read the next section.
That’s it for my Unicity review. Hopefully this Unicity review helps with your decision.
