Young Living Review

is young living a scam

Young living is a multi level marketing company which focuses on selling essential oils.

Scientific research proves over and over again many positive effects of these oils.

These are the positive effects of these oils..

  • Natural remedies for cuts
  • It boosts energy
  • Improve focus and help with immunity too
  • It reduce stress and depression
  • Improve skin condition
  • Also have some mental health benefits

I have reviewed many mlm companies which focus on selling essential oils like CTFO,Kannaway,Emris international Bioreigns,Green Compass, Navan global and Hemp Worx. What’s different with young living?

Here is a short video explaining young living in detail?

Owners Background Of Young Living

Dr Gary Young and Mary Young started this mlm company back in 1993.

This means that it is not some random mlm company who wants to rob you.In Fact young living got a very big history behind it.It is in my top 10 list of mlms, after reviewing 300+ mlm companies.

young living

Why?Because I know how difficult it is to maintain a sales volume of 1.5 billion dollars.

Yes,young living did $1.5 billions in sales in 2017 and it is still the best year for this mlm giant.

Before going in more detail about the owners I want to take a sec and talk about a thing which is circulating in my mind.

I know how hard it is to survive in Mlms nowadays. When every other day a new mlm company is launching, making this niche super competitive.

In fact I have seen hundreds of CBD oils companies launching in 2019-20,but still young living is their Daddy.Yes,this company is out of all CBD mlms league.

Reason behind this is that this mlm company was launched back in 1993,but people have been using CBD oil for thousands of years.

So,in 1993 when young living was launched, you know how many mlms were in the scene?

Less than 5..and young living took them by storm.I am 100% sure that if young living had launched in 2020,it would have failed miserably.

I recently saw a mlm company which is far more better than young living and launched in 2017,but who knows?

So,the owner of this company has a pretty controversial background.

Here are some of the struggles of Dr,Gary Young’

  • Gary was arrested back in 1982 for selling miscure medical stuff.Yes,it’s pretty unethical, but the point is not that.Point is that he was selling some shit after knowing that it is going to affect people. He is been involved in many mlm companies.Even worked as a distributor in many mlm companies and done door to door marketing.

  • This mlm giant faced many lawsuits which caused kidney failure of many consumers.Yes,it’s very dangerous to experience this sh** yourself, but it is just a reminder for you.

  • I have reviewed doTerra, which is also a mlm giant.Young living is Undertaker and doTerra is Brock Lesnar. Both have an insane rivalry. In 2007,young living fired 3 employs, because they launched their own mlm company called doTerra. After this owner of young living filed lawsuits against doTerra. This case was won by doTerra and young living fined $2 million. That is the reason I called young living undertaker, because he never wins from undertaker. After 13 years,doTerra is standing head to head with young living as one of the mlm giants.

  • Back in 1988,Gary launched his own young live welfare center and this was closed by FCT for promoting harmful and miscured supplements.

It’s all Gary’s vision that young living is standing today.Unfortunately,Gary died in 2018 from a stroke, but this company is run by his wife to date.

If you want to know about the owners of this company,go here,Q&A? with Gary.HERE IS A VIDEO ON THIS..

Young Living Mlm : How It Works?

young living scam

Young living has many farms across the USA,where these essential oil came from. Here is a quick video explaining young living essential oils production phase.

Now,these essential oils go through three phases which will help us in different health benefits..here are the three phases..

1 – Perfume Grade – They are made of chemicals which will give no benefits to the human body. They are for making these essential oils smell good.

2 – Food Grade – These essential oils contain pesticides, fertilizers and carrier oils.

3 – 100% pure essential oils – They are made up of 100% organic grown plants.Another good thing is that they have their own farms all over the America. Not like emris international, where they rented farms to make essential oils on rough soils.

Let’s talk about young living products..

Here is the list of these proiucts’

3 – Wellness Products – Vitamins,weight loss supplements and other products.Prices vary from $10 to $100.

4 – Beauty Products – Soap,Shampoo and facial care products.Prices are the same as above.

There are such a wide range of products which you can read here.

Or here is the 47 seconds video which will explain it in detail?

Is Young Living A Pyramid Scheme?

No,young living is not a pyramid scheme. It is a legit multi level marketing company which focuses on selling CBD oil products.

The main reason why most people call it a pyramid scheme is because of the fact that you need to recruit others into it for making money.

Now,give me a second to explain this.

Most of the mlm companies are pyramid schemes now a days. Most of the time people join them without knowing their recruiting part.

Pyramid schemes are totally opposite to multi level marketing companies.

In pyramid schemes you have to focus on recruiting, more than that the only way for you to make money from them is to recruit others into it.

I have reviewed pyramid schemes recently like instant cash solutions.

Having said that,in mlms you are selling some physical products, which at the same time provides value to your audience.

Recruiting is just an option for you to make money in mlms. Not like pyramid schemes, where if you do not recruit anybody, your business will die.

So,the main takeaway from this section is that,in pyramid schemes, the only way to make money is by recruiting.

And in mlms you are selling physical products + recruiting.

This is why young living is not a pyramid scheme.

Failure Ratio in Young Living

I have bad news for you.Yes,most of the people that join mlm companies like young living end up losing their hard earned money.

Most of the stats and surveys claim that 73 to 99% people that join mlm companies end up losing their hard earned money.

Unfortunately not different with young living.Failure ratio is very high in young living.

It is the fact that you can make money with young living but your chances of failure and losing money is higher than CB oils mlms I reviewed.

94% distributors of young living are making just 1$ or less.Yes,94 out of 100 representantes of young living make less than $1/year.

You maybe thinking why failure ratio is too high?

It’s because most of the time people join mlms are newbies.Like me,Like you.

They do not have an existing audience to promote their products. In the meantime they end up reaching out to their friends and family members.

Honestly I do not want to sell anything to my relatives.I love them more than money.

And this is such a small audience that after relatives they have left with nobody to sell mlm products.

In the end, companies like young living ends up in profit, people like you and me search for another mlm.

Do not do these same mistakes again and again..

How To Make Money With Young Living

Like any other mlm companies, there are two ways to make money with this mlm..

1 – Sell its products directly to people and make retail commissions on it.

mlm young living

2 – Get bonuses on recruiting more people into this company.

How Young Living Costs To Join

It’s totally free.

Kiddin.

Cost to join young living is $45.You can become an independent distributor with this money.

It’s not just $45 that you are paying for their membership, but you will be getting their starter kit, which is very impressive.

Other mlms charge just to work with them, same in young living. But you already know the fact that 95% people never make more than $45 in their first year.

With that you have to maintain a sales volume of over $100 per month. If you fail to sell products worth 100 bucks, you have to buy yourself.

In 99.9% cases this happens. So,it’s very normal that you are going to buy it’s products yourself.

This means that the main customer of young living is YOU!

Huge amount of money for young living is coming from you.And it’s the main source of their revenue.

Young Living Compensation Plan

Now,after reviewing hundreds of mlms,I came to a verdict that all mlms have a very complex compensation plan.

Young living is not different.

In Fact I have spent a fair amount of time in understanding it’s compensation plan and here are the main points that you need to know..

  • Retail commission -Earn upto 25% commission on any product of young living you sell.
  • Starter Kit Bonus – Earn fifty buck if someone you refer purchases $150 starter kit.
  • Fast start Bonus
  • Rising star pool bonus
  • Unilevel commission – it is 5 level deep.8% on person you recruit,recruits,5% on person they sponsor. And 4% on next levels.

Overall compensation plan is very deep. These are the things that you need to know ..

You will get 24% by selling products directly.

You will get bonuses after recruiting people. Here is a short video on it.

Is Young Living A Scam?

No,young living is not a scam.It is a legit mlm company.

There are these 2 reasons to look for spotting a scam..

1 – Grab your money and run of the sunset

2 – Claims big and fails to deliver

Young living has none of them.

But as I said that we will go in depth. So,these are the cons and pros of young living..

Things I Like In Young Living

Here are the things which I liked in young living.

Charity

They have a foundation with the name, young living charity.

This foundation has been working since 2009 and helped hundreds of people.

Here is a 5 minute video telling the progress of this mlm company.

Binary Commission Plan

You will make money from your downline, but young living do not have a binary commission plan. You’re only as ‘strong’ as your weakest leg.

So even if you recruit numerous people into the company you will place them under your existing 2 ‘strongest legs’.

This gets super confusing and makes understanding the commission very hard.

Young Living keeps it simple.please?

It’s ‘5 levels deep’ and you receive:

8% commission of the people you sponsor, 5% on the people they sponsor, 4% on the next 3 levels.

Good Quality Products

I have reviewed many mlm companies, who have crappy products, not with young living.

I spent half an hour reading reviews on product quality from different platforms like BBB,Consumer affair and best company. Some were bad but mostly were good.

But who knows they can be young living distributors?

Anyways,I still give it an edge.If you want to know their product quality then I highly recommend to buy them yourself. It’s the best way to check product quality.

History

The company got history and background. It’s been more than 27 years and young living is still growing day by day.

This means that this mlm company is credible and a mlm giant when it comes to CBD oil.

Now,let’s talk about the bad part of this company?

Things I Disliked In Young Living

These are the main things that I disliked’

6 In 100 Earns Over 1 DOLLAR

Failure ratio is too damn high in young living. The fact is that most of the people,94% people end up losing money in young living.

There are just under 100 people in the world who are making $1000/month in young living. Here is their income disclosure.

As,you can see that only 1% people are making $240/year.Yes,chances of you making 240 bucks yearly is as less as Trump winning again US election(;

Here are the lucky people that make the most money from young living and they are the top 0.1% people all around the world.

  • Jeff and Ben make $240k/month.
  • Alex makes over one million a year.
  • Paul makes just over a million/year in young living.

I suggest you to make $2 to get above those 94% distributors.

Controversial Products

This company warned by FDA many times and accused young living people of supplying duplicate products.

They claim that young living is selling drugs which sometimes give people stressless sleep and it is not good for health when you think long term.

Momentum

This company got struck.

Yes,young living lost its momentum and I think like all mlm, slowly it will come to an end.

That’s how it goes.

So,I searched it’s google trend and it’s linear. What this means is that it’s not the mlm anyone wants to join for a better future.

Now,the best time to join any mlm company is when it is in it’s peak, just like farmasi, which I reviewed.

Farmasi is a mlm company which is getting very famous and getting eyeballs.

Owners controversial background

Owners got a very bad background.

They are involved in lawsuits and different actions from big federations like FDA.

Most of the lawsuits against young living is that people claim it to be a pyramid scheme.

Yes,this is because 4 out of 5 ways to make money from young living is to recruit people under you.

I AM OUT!

Negative Reviews

Here are some negative reviews I came across..

Ongoing COST

You may have thought that Ok,I bought a starter kit and things are all well.

Now,I just have to keep paying them $49 and that’s it.But the reality is not the same.

Young living have very strict rules.

If you want to make money and remain in the company, then you have to keep paying them $100.

Because they push their distributor to maintain 100PV.

One PV = $1

99.9% People fail to generate 100PV and that is why they end up paying 100 bucks themselves.

Should You Join Young Living?

You know what?Time is the most important thing a person can have,I have been through all of that.

Network marketing, selling knives door to door, pyramid schemes, everything you name it,I tried it.I am not fond of mlms, been there done that.

I have a question for you.

Why join mlms when there are more scalable, sustainable and long term business models out there?

With mlm companies you are going nowhere.

Not just wasting money, but wasting your precious time also.

After reviewing 300+ mlms and getting thousands of comments from their distributors,I have not received a single success story.

This business model is designed to make money for owners. Not for you.

How I Make Money Online?

Why my #1 recommended business? It’s called Lead generation.

  • You do not have to sell to your friends and family members.
  • Long term no monthly cost, completely passive, work from home(online) business model.
  • Do not have to deal with customer complaints like mlms.

In lead generation you have to generate leads for small business owners.

Let’s say that you generated a lead for a lawyer and he closed it and made $1000 on that customer.

He will be more then happy to pay you $50 or $100 for that single lead.

Now,just imagine if you can generate 100 leads for that lawyer every single day? That is $30k/month for you.

Simple,proven,legit and repeatable business model.

Yes,many of our students are making $100k/month,pure profit. We are not talking about sales here.

And hundreds and thousands are making $10k,$20k,$30k,$40k/month.

  1. GREAT JOB and you didn’t even mention that distributors are encouraged to shun anyone they signed up who ever talks about a different brand of oil, or calls into question any of their claims or practices (like the raindrop technique which can quickly cause sensitization to the oils used.
